Your Shape Talent July Newsletter
This past month, Shape Talent has been honoured by two accolades. CEO and Founder, Sharon Peake, CPsychol was named on Management Today’s Women in Leadership Power List while our business was shortlisted for the British Small Business Awards. Both have been a rewarding recognition of the important work we are doing to accelerate gender equity.
In our latest blog, we look at how certain biases and stigma have become attached to flexible work practices. With current return-to-office mandates in place, many flexible work practices, particularly remote work, have been criticised and there is an ever-widening gap that disadvantages those who require flexibility in order to manage their home and work responsibilities. These biases often disproportionately impact women, who are more likely to take responsibility for household activities, particularly related to childcare.
The blog draws on the evidence from our brand new Flexible Work research in which we uncover the myths around flexible work, as well as its benefits to organisations.
We recently interviewed Dr. Andrée Bates , Chairman/Founder/CEO at Eularis, discussing how AI is impacting the trajectory of gender equity. This was a fascinating discussion that covered not only the risks, but also the opportunities of AI for gender equity. You can view the full recording here. And if you’d like to listen to it and our other previous episodes in podcast format, you can listen to Breaking Barriers here.
