Your slice of sustainable steals
With many of my team, including me, just back from summer break, it feels like IMEX America 2024 is suddenly just around the corner. And although it feels like (OK, not just “feels like”!) there’s a million things to do between now and then, I cannot wait to welcome you. Until then, here’s a slice of sustainability, sport and IMEX America program insight.

Your sustainability strategy steals
As an IMEX Green Squad member, sharing our show sustainability reports is always rewarding. We’re consistently striving to go further and do better every year—from eliminating single-use plastic to diverting waste from landfill. Seeing those sustainability stats in black and white proves the positive impact I’m proud to play my part in.
In praise of Paris
With achievements including a 50:50 gender balance, and a successful repurposing of existing infrastructure, the Paris Olympics celebrated diversity and sustainability. And when “repurposing existing infrastructure” means taekwondo under the vaulted glass roof of the Grand Palais, and show jumping against the stunning backdrop of Versailles, it also made me immediately start planning my next trip to Paris. Now for the Paralympics. Let the summer of sport continue.

An IMEX education insight...
…from a fellow self-confessed event nerd, otherwise known as IMEX’s Head of Program, Tahira Endean. She explains how she’s produced a program that’s “designed to deliver real value and spark joy”. And how she’s able to be brave on the topics we tackle, while still covering the fundamental skills every event prof (even event nerds like me!) needs.
