Your videos can now be multilingual
Your Weekly Short-Form Video Secrets: TikTok’s Putting You on Auto-Translate, plus “World War III'' begins over a viral math problem.
It Sounds Like an Orchestra…
But it’s TikTok’s latest tool, Symphony, that’s making noise. This newest version of Creative Assistant has been revealed with a full glow-up, dishing out hot tips for brainstorming, best practices, and letting you whip up videos with just a few details like product info or URLs. It’s got everything from creating digital avatars to translating your videos into multiple languages.
Symphony is also playing nice with TikTok Ads Manager, bringing in features like auto-diagnosis, auto-fix, and AI-enhanced display cards to make your ad game strong. Fans are buzzing about how Symphony’s AI-powered avatars and dubbing features can take your creative strategy to the next level and help you hit the global stage like a pro.
But it's not all sunshine and rainbows—an internal version of the tool ended up in public hands, leading to some cringe-worthy content, including quotes from dictators like Hitler. There’s also been concerns about people being able to know what content has been Ai supported versus organically created. TikTok’s fixed the internal version glitch and made sure any creator posts using Symphony includes watermarks to keep things legit.

What’s Trending
With over a million views and 7500 comments, people can’t stop talking about this math problem. And without even going through the beats of the video at length, there are three things the creator did that immediately grabs attention.
Recommended by LinkedIn
The creator starts off by pointing to the title above her head which reads, “The two smartest kids in class got different answers.” This title drives curiosity. If the two smartest kids got different answers, who’s right? And further, what answer will you as the viewer get?
She then adds to the interest by immediately saying, “I looked at the comments of this picture, and when I say it was World War III, it was World War III.” We now know this is hotly debated (and we as viewers love to add in our opinions!), and can’t wait to spend more time on the post looking at the comments and answers from others.
Lastly, she has a very simple, but effective video description which reads, “Math is hard.” This may be polarizing, as some people may not agree. It, after all, is very formulaic. By taking a stand, she drives peak curiosity and gets the viewer to not only want to watch, but do the math alongside her.
Your takeaway:
Anytime you can use puzzles, numbers, and questions in a video, the more likely people are to engage in the content. But further, how can you layer information to drive deeper curiosity? How can you leverage a strong title at the top of a video? How can you raise the stakes by what you’re saying? How can you create a polarizing or strong opinion through the video description? Leveraging each of these areas will help make your video that much more compelling and engaging.
