Your Weekly Dose of Demolition
Good afternoon,
I hope you are all enjoying the latest issue of Demolition Hub Magazine, for those yet to ask for a free subscription please see the digital issue here, let me know and I will get a hard copy of the latest issue posted out to you and then all six each year.
I was in conversation with Terry Quarmby yesterday who sent me over a brilliant piece he wrote for us to share, discussing the important role of organisations like the National Federation of Demolition Contractors and the INSTITUTE OF DEMOLITION ENGINEERS in shaping industry standards and promoting professionalism.
Terry's piece also touches upon challenges faced by the industry, such as waste management and environmental concerns, and calls for innovation and collaboration to address them.
Additionally, it critiques government and industry stakeholders for their role in exacerbating waste issues through unsustainable building practices. Overall, it emphasises the need for continued progress and adaptation within the demolition sector to meet contemporary challenges...
A social service
Over almost four years of hard work, getting the tone right, being a likeable bunch with personality and being pro the industry has evidently allowed us to build up quite the following on our social media platforms.
My own LinkedIn account will hit 15-20k+ people per post every single time, the DEMOLITION HUB LinkedIn page itself is not that far behind those lofty numbers and our Instagram account can boast many reels in excess of 10k views.

The reason I am highlighting our socials is that we recently dipped our toe into the world of TikTok . I say dip a toe, it’s been more like slamming a foot into the ocean.
We have been adding all of our own demolition content and haven’t we taken TikTok by a storm? With all videos in the thousands of views and many in five figures, our latest entry from last week is on the brink of 60k viewers with countless interactions.
I mention this as it’s yet another route that Demolition Hub is able to showcase what you do.
We have one ready to launch tonight from my site visit with Burke Demolition earlier this week and I wouldn’t be surprised if we exceed that. The Burke TikTok goes out at 7:30pm this evening. Join us if you haven’t already via the TikTok app.
Speaking of site visits, I have clocked up three within a week, it’s getting to be novel to be in the office these days.
Huge thanks to those at RABBIT GROUP Demolition, SRC Group and Burke Demolition Ltd for having me on site recently.
That’s three down in recent memory, some 497 to go. Drop me a message and I’ll almost certainly be there.
I am looking forward to the weekend break and I wish you a safe end to your week.
My very best,
