If You're a Principal, are you prepared to prevent this problem next school year...??

Why do you think several principals from the Newark Charter School Network asked to meet with me weekly to discuss problems they were having in their schools?

If you are a principal, you know the problems I'm talking about:

  • How to Boost Student Achievement
  • How to Reduce Student Behavioral Interruptions
  • How to Find Expert Level Teachers
  • How to Become Better School Leaders

The problem these principals ran into was the old and outdated K12 system that just sits there and does nothing. It doesn't help, it doesn't support, it doesn't even make a sound. It's like an old dog who sits by its owners feet and can barely move when the doorbell rings.

The truth is that I quit teaching after my 3rd year because the K12 system treated me the same way. And millions of teachers agreed with me, which is why they also have been quitting the profession they love. But I wasn't going to allow the K12 system to beat me, so I vowed to come back and beat it at its own game. And I did!

If you're a principal, are you prepared to prevent your teachers from quitting and burning out?

If you think there's nothing you can do, I'm here to tell you, that's not accurate.

There is a lot you can do for your teachers.

One thing a good school leader can do is empower their teachers. Can you honestly say your staff are empowered? Do they get to make decisions about how to run their classrooms? Do they have the ability and your blessing to solve school issues and problems?

If the answer is honestly no, you are not alone.

That's why the group of principals from the Newark Charter School Network asked to meet with me weekly to ask me questions and learn how to become more effective and better school leaders.
