YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP: The Way to Preparing Pipeline Future Entrepreneurs

The youth and young people have amazing startup business ideas when they are well guided to unleash the inner potential. When trained and guided to discover themselves and translate their zest and zeal for the better future, the youth could be the best population to prepare future entrepreneurs. Because, they have ample time to make many mistakes and correct them.

Pipeline future enterprises could be created through enabling the youth to innovate ideas and turn them into opportunities. Enterprises in the community have the potential to benefit each other. Output from one enterprise becomes an input for other enterprises, and this helps money to circulate among the people in the community. The more money circulates in the economy, the more the wellbeing of the people. Then, what else should we do to support the young people? The shrinking public sector capacity to absorb young people into regular public sector employment signals that there is urgent need to invest in the young people. This can only be possible through promoting synergies between the Government, private sector and non-state actors and stakeholders.

I had the opportunity to engage with young entrepreneurs for a weeklong training, coaching and mentoring startup ideas; to enable Vocational and Technical Students at DONBOSCO IRINGA VTC to identify business ideas and translate them into businesses. What a noble accomplishment!

What else can we do to help young and aspiring college and school leavers transition from school to the world of work? Please, share your views in the comments section below. Happy Weekend!

I suggest that, in primary schools there should be specific subject for entrepreneuship and in colleges and universities there should be entrepreneurship cousre instead. So that the students and even dropout ones could build entrepreneurial mentality and culture from the elementary stage hence help them in streeties, so entire future.
