The year seems to be running away with us, and at this transitional time of year, some of us are already seeing a change in seasons to either autumn or spring.

London Shipping Week 2023 roundup

What a fantastic week we had at London International Shipping Week 2023

We heard from a number of industry experts and experts in field on a range of topics - from seafarer welfare, decarbonisation in maritime and changing regulation, to black swan incidents and even AI in maritime marketing.

It’s been a thought provoking week connecting with our colleagues and friends, sharing ideas and learning from each other.

We look forward to 2024!

Mumbai Seminar 2023 

Last week, 120 Zodiac Maritime officers met in #Mumbai for a seminar covering topics including navigation, near miss reporting, IT systems and leadership.

Over the two day seminar, our officers were encouraged to reflect on what areas they could take particular ownership of on their vessels to improve operations onboard. It was great to see our officers and shore teams collaborating throughout, and discussing innovative working methodologies.

Reflecting after the event, one officer reported: “It was a wonderful seminar which helped us feel more connected to the company’s vision. Looking forward to many more seminars in future”.

Next month, we travel to Varna to meet our European officers.

Marie Cooper, Director of Crewing

Marie joined us in May 2022, coming from a leadership position as Head of Marine People Strategy at Maersk. She has spent the majority of her career in people-focused roles with the last 15 years specializing in the Maritime industry.

Marie spearheads crewing at Zodiac Maritime and holds overall responsibility crew management for our dedicated seafarers.
