Boosting Innovation in Organic Fruit production through stronger networks
About us
BIOFRUITNET’s general objective is to deliver ad-hoc developed informational materials compiling current knowledge ready for practice that will boost the efficiency of the European organic fruit growing sector. This project is the first network focused on organic fruit production that bridges the gap between science and practice and makes locally found solutions available to other organic fruit growers in Europe. BIOFRUITNET is coordinated by Naturland and executed by 15 partners more (7 research organisations GRAB, LAIMBURG, FÖKO, CIHEAM-IAMB, FIBL, ION, VSUO; 3 Farmers associations NATURLAND, ECOVALIA, ALOA; 2 advisory bodies HAS, DELPHY; 2 universities UCPH, SLU; 1 umbrela organisation IFOAM EU and 1 SME involve in innovation INNOVARUM) coming from 11 different countries (Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Latvia, The Netherlands, Poland, Sweeden and Switzerland. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement N° 862850.
