On November 7th, BT Dallas partners, Mark Nelson and Juanita DeLoach, PhD, JD were featured in a Law360 article titled “Litigation Funders Look For Attorneys They Can Trust.” The article highlights their insights from the panel discussion at the 29th Annual Advanced Patent Law Institute on November 6th. Mark Nelson shared a crucial point: “Nobody wants to get in a situation where you’ve got the decision maker that is not really rational in their expectations of what the case is. That’s important — that the expectations are known up front and that everybody understands them.” The panel, expertly moderated by Juanita DeLoach, also delved into the implications of a Delaware federal judge’s new policy on disclosing litigation funding and its impact on decision-making processes. Last week, Barnes & Thornburg LLP | BT Dallas proudly sponsored a panel hosted by Oklahoma City University School of Law and University of Oklahoma College of Law on “How Hispanic Lawyers Are Shaping the Field” across corporate, litigation, government, and academic spaces.
