🌍 Shaping the Future of Europe’s Economy Together 🌍 The Business for a Better Tomorrow coalition extends its congratulations to the newly elected Members of the European Parliament for the 2024-2029 term. As we enter a pivotal period for the European economy, we are reminded of the essential role that impact-driven businesses will play in addressing the challenges ahead. While the Green Deal has marked a significant step forward, much remains to be done to fully align Europe’s economic framework with our sustainability and social objectives.🌱 In the coming years, we are keen to work alongside the new European Parliament to foster a regulatory environment that empowers purpose-driven businesses and strengthens the resilience of Europe’s economy. 💼🤝 📄 We invite you to read our 2024 manifesto, outlining five key priorities for EU action: 👉 Ensuring the ambitious implementation of the Green Deal 👉 Promoting recognition and visibility of companies committed to environmental and social transition 👉 Fostering the development of purpose-driven companies across Europe 👉 Encouraging the transformation of business models 👉Making social enterprises pillars of tomorrow’s economy We look forward to working hand in hand with European policymakers to make these priorities a reality. Such a legislative initiative would make it possible to embed a company’s commitment to social and environmental objectives in its status over the long term and in a legally enforceable manner, thereby ensuring recognition of this purpose by shareholders and engaging the responsibility of management.
