📢 Calling California homeowners! Interested in a free energy upgrade to help pave the way for innovative new technology?    In this CalNEXT funded project, GTI Energy will conduct field evaluations to support future technology market adoption. We are looking for two single-family homes with California electric Investor-Owned Utility (IOU) providers to participate in a heating, cooling, and hot water pilot project.    An all-electric "Combi" Air-to-Water Heat Pump (AWHP) system—which reduces energy use, lowers utility bills, and reduces carbon emissions—will be installed at no cost, and researchers will monitor and measure your energy usage data to assess annual energy and cost savings.    Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gJGrpGXj

This story is about the findings in the “Commercial and Multifamily CO2 Heat Pump Water Heater Market Study and Field Demonstration” Final Report. Researched by ASK Energy, Inc. and Ecotope, Inc., this study finds that replacing gas water heaters in mulitfamily buildings with central heat pump water heaters has the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 1.7 million tons per year and produce $350 million in overall benefits annually.
