Updates

  • As the lead advocacy partner, CTFE Social Solutions has proudly supported the SportsHour Participation Index - Primary and Secondary Youth Research since 2019. The MVPA60HK achievement rate, a critical measure of physical activity levels among Hong Kong students, reveals that only 8% of school children meet the World Health Organisation's recommended standards—a figure that has stagnated in recent years. We are heartened to see InspiringHK Sports Foundation 凝動香港體育基金 set an ambitious goal of doubling the MVPA60HK rate within five years. CTFE Social Solutions is committed to providing unwavering support by backing IHKSports in launching a series of pilot projects to raise awareness of the MVPA60HK Indicator within the community and help make this goal a reality. These initiatives aim to bring the entire community together—schools, families, businesses, and organisations—in a collective effort to promote greater physical activity and healthier lifestyles for our youth. At CTFE Social Solutions, we believe in the power of collaboration to drive meaningful change. Let’s get moving and create a healthier, more active future for the next generation.

  • CTFESS x Strive and Rise - Challenge Wide Open Achievement Highlights 🏆 🌟 We're proud to share our achievements of the Challenge Wide Open event, marking the 2nd year that CTFE Social Solutions has organised specially designed team activities for the Strive and Rise Programme participants. This year, 662 participants and 45 alumni came together, benefiting from the generous support of 13 Hong Kong athletes, who openly shared their personal experiences and stories, inspiring everyone involved. With the incredible backing of 19 brand sponsors, participants not only enjoyed 12 exciting sports-themed activities, but also had the chance to win over 300 fantastic lucky draw prizes, enriching their learning and living experiences and kicking off the summer with joy. The impact was profound: ✅ 98% of participants felt the activities cultivated positive thinking. ✅ 95% believed it strengthened relationships between mentors, mentees, and among peers. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing athletes, generous sponsors, and dedicated mentors and mentees for making this event complete with fun, energy, and connection. 🙌 As we prepare for the 3rd cohort, we hope the excitement from this year will inspire more mentors and mentees to join the programme, extending its benefits to even more of the Hong Kong community.

  • Sharing the highlights of our "Challenges Wide Open" sports carnival, which reminds us of the incredible fun we had! Our event showcased nine emerging sports, including Balloon Volleyball and Spikeball, and we were also awestruck by the performances of breaking, roller skating and freestyle football. We were honoured to have 13 Hong Kong athletes, including Cheung Siu Lun and Ng On Yee, who shared their personal journeys, their unwavering passion for sports, and the challenges they’ve overcome. Their stories deeply moved many of our participants, motivating them to pursue their own dreams and passions without giving up. Thank you again to all the mentors and mentees from the Strive and Rise Programme for their enthusiastic participation. As the Paris Olympic Games approach, let's continue to support our Hong Kong athletes who are pursuing their passion and success on this global stage! #ChallengesWideOpen #StriveandRise #ParisOlympics2024 #GamesWideOpen #HOYTV

  • Last Friday, CTFE Social Solutions hosted the “Challenges Wide Open” sports carnival, which was joined by more than 800 mentees and mentors from the Strive and Rise Programme, 45 of whom are alumni from last year! Inspired by the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, we designed this event to be a celebration of sports and camaraderie. The mentees who joined the carnival had the opportunity to explore new activities, compete in various fun games, and discover the joy and excitement that come with physical activity. From the performance of breakdance (an exciting new addition to the Paris 2024 Olympic programme), freestyle football, to “not volleyball” matches, the carnival was all about pushing boundaries, embracing new challenges, and most importantly, having a great time together. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed guests and athletes who shared their inspiring stories. We are incredibly thankful to the 30 brands and donors for their support, donating over 300 gifts that enrich the youths' learning and living experiences, giving them a joyful start to the summer holiday.
