CyberHEALTH&PHARMA Summit

I recently had the privilege of participing and talking at the CyberHEALTH&PHARMA Summit about "𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀: 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗩𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀." ⁣ ⁣ It was an insightful experience alongside esteemed colleagues J. Carlos Tortosa Joan B., María de los Angeles Sivila⁣ and 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗲𝗳. ⁣ During our presentation, we highlighted key findings from IBM's latest Cost of a Data Breach Report and the importancy of ⁣𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. Notibly: ⁣ 𝟭. The average total cost of a data breach has reached $𝟰.𝟴𝟴 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻, reflecting a significant increase. 𝟮. Organizations that leverage security AI and automation can save an average of 𝟵𝟴 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 in breach response time. 𝟯. A staggering 𝟭𝟲% of breach cases involve stolen or compromised credentials, emphasizing that "𝘩𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘪𝘯; 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘭𝘰𝘨 𝘪𝘯." ⁣Two relevant takeaways we shared were the importance of maintaining a comprehensive 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 and 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗜 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Con la expansión de la IA la ciberseguridad se ha convertido en una necesidad incuestionable. Las empresas hemos dado un paso de gigante en la gestión de los datos que obtenemos en nuestra interacción con clientes, proveedores, socios, empleados.., y los resultados que logramos de su análisis con la IA y el machine learnig nos están haciendo mucho más productivos y eficientes. Last week, Rephine's CSV expert, Sergi Arcas, attended the CyberHEALTH&PHARMA Summit 2024 in Barcelona—a pivotal event for the healthcare and pharma sectors focused on cybersecurity. Sergi gathered valuable insights on the current challenges and strategies being discussed across the industry. Here are his key takeaways: 💭 The NIS2 directive will soon take effect across Europe, presenting challenges for mid-sized companies. 💭 Cyber risks from third-party suppliers remain a concern, with a growing need to ensure their cybersecurity standards align with quality systems and device qualification processes. 💭 Cyber-resilience post-attack was a major theme, covering advanced strategies like immutable storage, clean-room forensics, and prioritization of recovery based on risk. 💭 The tension between rapid patching needs and regulatory limitations in medical device design, especially in the context of IoMT (Internet of Medical Things). 💭 The human factor continues to be the main source of cybersecurity breaches, with an emphasis on training and regular testing for company personnel. 💭 The development of secure data areas to enable unified access to siloed healthcare data is underway but poses new risks. 💭 The rise of AI in cybersecurity brings new challenges, from enhanced phishing attacks to concerns around AI-generated code reliability. Hace ya unos días, concretamente el 19 de septiembre, formé parte del grupo de speakers en la segunda edición del CyberHEALTH&PHARMA Summit, organizado por MICE Global Solutions, para charlar sobre cómo romper los silos de información que contengan datos asistenciales, tanto con entidades públicas, como privadas. Estuve acompañado por Pol Pérez Sust, del Servei Català de la Salut, Miguel Angel Benito, del Servei de Salut de les Illes Balears, Darío Bengoechea, de Thales Digital Identity and Security, y Ricard Flores Duran, de Galderma, en calidad de moderador. La semana pasada tuve la oportunidad de participar en el CyberHEALTH&PHARMA Summit en Barcelona junto a mis compañeros Vicente Puchades y Carlos Vergara Vidal. Durante la sesión DEMOTECH junto a Vicente Puchades, abordamos cómo Cloudflare está gestionando los riesgos cibernéticos en los sectores salud y farmacéutico. Además, para mí fue un honor (y lo repetí varias veces 😄) moderar el panel "Regulaciones y sanciones: cumplimiento de los requisitos normativos EU-NIS2", donde Beatriz Marco Burguete, Patricia Azcona Gutiérrez, Fernando Moreno Pedraz y Juan Díez González discutieron sobre los desafíos que la normativa NIS2 plantea para las empresas. Enhorabuena a Beatriz Roca Viciano y a todo el equipo de MICE Global Solutions por la impecable organización y el éxito del evento. Estoy muy agradecida de formar parte de Cloudflare y contribuir al fortalecimiento de la seguridad en sectores tan importantes. ¡Nos vemos en el próximo evento!

La semana pasada tuve el placer de moderar una mesa sobre IoMT en CyberHEALTH&PHARMA Summit en Barcelona. Esto de conectar todo tipo de aparatos... ¡da para mucho! Si es por mí se hubiese alargado toda la jornada. El tema y los ponentes no era para menos 😉 Gracias a Nuria Borque, Toni Marcos, 💻 Maite Carli Garcia y Carmen López por haber compartido las diferentes perspectivas desde vuestros diferentes puestos.
