United Airlines continued its growth at Washington Dulles International earlier this month when it launched its 87th domestic nonstop destination from IAD, South Bend International Airport (SBN). The inaugural flight celebration followed United's Next in Washington D.C. event, where the new 435,000-sq.ft, 14 gate, Concourse E was recognized. With these new flights and facility expansions, United's "Decade of Dulles", continues to grow the passenger experience from IAD.

Today we celebrated the future of United Airlines at Washington Dulles International Airport. In 2024, United Airlines has announced 13 new routes from Washington Dulles. These new routes for United Airlines generate an average of 23 new daily departing flights from IAD and nearly 500,000 new annual departing seats. This growth contributed to United’s overall growth at IAD in 2024 where it increased scheduled departing seats by 8.4% compared to 2023 or near 825,000 departing seats. The new service added by United Airlines in 2024 will generate more than $350 million in positive annual economic impact. We look forward to continued growth in 2025 and throughout the #DecadeofDulles. Thank you to our partners at United Airlines for your continued growth and long-term investment and commitment in our community.
