On November 27, 2024, DALYA organized the DigIN Multiplier Event in Adana within the scope of the Project DigIN - EMPOWER ADULT EDUCATORS TO SUPPORT DIGITAL SOCIAL INCLUSION. The event brought together 40 participants from different professional backgrounds, including educators, adult education experts, policy makers, researchers, adult learners and volunteers. The DigIN project stands out as one of the most innovative initiatives in the realm of digital inclusion, aiming to transform society by bridging the digital divide, particularly affecting adults. It was developed in response to the growing need to enhance digital literacy levels in contemporary society. Through DigIN, adults are empowered by acquiring new skills and gaining access to digital tools, enabling them to overcome the barriers of digital exclusion—an obstacle to personal development, employment opportunities, and social engagement. DigIN Project Objectives The project focuses on three key areas: Digital Literacy: Developing digital competencies in adults who lack core technology skills. The program provides essential training in basic software use, internet navigation, and online communication tools. Improved Access to Technology: Ensuring participants have access to digital devices and reliable internet connectivity. By leveraging resources such as computers and mobile internet hotspots, DigIN aims to equip participants to engage effectively with digital content. Lifelong Learning: Promoting the philosophy of continuous education. Regular workshops, online courses, and community events keep participants updated on new technologies and trends, encouraging them to pursue lifelong learning for their personal and professional growth. ⭐ Successful Multiplier Events in Castellón de la Plana! ⭐ On 19 November 2024, we had the pleasure of hosting two impactful Multiplier Events as part of the DigIN - EMPOWER ADULT EDUCATORS TO SUPPORT DIGITAL SOCIAL INCLUSION project in Castellón de la Plana, Spain. With 33 participants, including current and future adult educators passionate about digital education, the events were a resounding success! Event Highlights: Engaging presentations on the project's objectives and activities. Insightful discussions addressing the challenges of adult digitalisation. Introduction to the DigIn educational platform, which received rave reviews for its user-friendly design and practical applications. Networking opportunities that fostered collaboration among educators. Participants expressed overwhelming satisfaction, with an average rating of 4.94 out of 5 across various aspects of the events. They praised the clarity of presentations, quality of information transfer, and overall organisation. Many attendees are eager to implement the resources provided in their teaching practices. "The DigIn platform is a game-changer in adult digital education!" "Every aspect of the event was flawlessly organized!" "I'm excited to implement these resources in my adult education classes!" To further disseminate knowledge and resources, we actively shared information about the events on Facebook, reaching a wider audience interested in enhancing adult education.
