How will the #EnergyTransition impact the #basestock and #lubricant industries? In an article for Lubes'n'Greases, Base Oils Editor Gabriela Wheeler highlighted the perspectives of our own Laura Pottorf, Basestocks & Waxes Global Marketing Manager, and Peng Ann Yap, Market Planning Manager for ExxonMobil Asia Pacific, both of whom addressed this question head-on at the ICIS Asian Base Oils and Lubricants Conference this summer. “As the world transitions to different energy sources and higher-performing equipment, the base oils and lubricants industries have had to respond to the new requirements,” Pottorf noted. “These changes impact the lubricants industry, not only in terms of the products that we are making but also the production sites where the components for those lubricants are made.”  That’s one of the reasons ExxonMobil is introducing the EHC 340 MAX™ extra heavy neutral base stock, which we’ll produce at our existing #Singapore facility.
