The FDA Research and Science Traineeship (FRST) Program has officially launched and is ready to serve you and the Agency! FRST provides FDA Centers and Offices with a new mechanism to onboard non-employee scientists who will train under the guidance of an FDA mentor. FRST serves pre- and post-doctoral scientists and physicians, as well as current STEM students and recent graduates, offering practical scientific training, project-specific research, and development opportunities. All studies or projects will be relevant to the FDA's needs and mission and will contribute to the future regulatory and scientific public health workforce. About us
The Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) mission of protecting and advancing public health can only be achieved by leveraging the skills and talents of the many scientists working across its many centers. FDA employs scientists in a wide variety of fields and disciplines, including biologists, chemists, epidemiologists, pharmacists, pharmacologists, physicians, behavioral scientists, statisticians, veterinarians, engineers, and others. FDA offers opportunities for non-scientific, non-medical job seekers as well with the administrative function playing a major role in the Agency. This page is a mechanism for current and prospective FDA employees to explore new job opportunities when they become available and to learn more about working at FDA. Current and former employees are encouraged to share these opportunities with their personal and professional networks to expand our mission and vision to more job-seeking individuals.

During November, our #HHSVeteransSpotlight is celebrating #veterans like Dr. Miriam Dinatale, a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at FDA and a Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)' Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service. As a CMO for FDA's Division of Pediatrics and Maternal Health, Dr. Dinatale oversees quality initiatives that improve pregnancy and lactation-related information in prescription medication labeling, as well as advance research in pregnancy and lactation. “In a previous role, I was seeing patients in a clinic, one at a time, but I feel that I am having a bigger impact in the area that I’m working in now as a maternal health subject matter expert at the FDA,” Dr. Dinatale said. "This is an evolving area where there’s so much more that we can do, and I’m honored to be in a position where I can make a difference for pregnant and lactating individuals in the United States.” Learn more about Dr. Dinatale and her work: https://lnkd.in/eFKtHi-S #NationalVeteransandMilitaryFamiliesMonth FDA Recruitment Network
