Tam Ky Project’s LA Wildfires Relief Efforts Update: Friday, 1/10: Tam Ky Project proudly donated five full vans of water and Gatorade to our brave firefighters! As they raced against time to control the fires before strong, hot winds picked up on Monday, our donation arrived just in time. The OCFA (Orange County Fire Authority) staff was genuinely surprised by our generous contribution, and we were honored to help them load everything into their truck for immediate delivery to our heroes on that night. Saturday, 1/11: Tam Ky Project delivered a full van filled with healthy snacks, water, and other necessities based on the requests we received to the donation center at Santa Anita Park. Anyone affected by the recent events is welcome to come by and pick up essential items. Sunday, 1/12: We delivered one full truck and two full vans of essential supplies to two separate shelters: the Koreatown YMCA Center for Community Well-Being and 9ThirtyLA. Our contributions included: - N95 masks - New towels - New undergarments and socks - Single-use utensils and plates - Sandwich bags and zip-lock bags - Water - Protein bars and fruits (bananas, apples, oranges) - Toys for young children - Healthy snacks for kids - Sleeping bags and cots - Blankets and pillows - Space heaters - Phone chargers - Toiletries and hygiene products - New hair supplies (brushes, combs, hair ties, etc.) - Shower supplies (towels, washcloths, shampoo, and conditioner) - Toilet paper and wipes - Cleaning supplies - Medical and first aid supplies - Baby food and formula - Diapers and wipes - Pet food (for dogs and cats) This relief effort would not have been possible without your support, generous donations, and the invaluable time our volunteers dedicated.
