MSU MBA LinkedIn Student Spotlight! Today we are shining a light on Michael Bydlak! Michael's diverse experience and passion for continuous learning make him a strong asset in our community! We are glad to have Michael as part of our MSU MBA team! #MSUMBA #StudentSpotlight #Leadership #Community Learn more about Michael: > What is your background prior to joining the MBA program? Prior to me pursuing my MBA, I had over 10 years of work experience, where I worked in the New York/New Jersey area in Operations for a trucking company and retail in NYC, and the last 5 years I worked for Sotheby's Wine as a Cellar Coordinator. I graduated in 2012 from Westfield State University in Westfield, Massachusetts with a undergraduate degree in Business Management/Marketing. > What is the reason you joined the MBA program? I joined the MBA program to not only gain more skills and knowledge, but also to help me find my way. I had thought about Business school in the past, and I had some health issues in 2022 where I was out of work for a few months and during that time, that was when I really started to think about the next step in my journey to being happy and pursung my dreams. Over the last several years, I had many different jobs and and even the last one I had I knew I didn't have any opportunities to advance and I was tired of having deadend jobs. I wanted to not just have a job but have a career and find what exactly it was that I am passionate about. Being here at MSU has really allowed me to explore what I truly want to do going forward once I graduate and I couldn't be happier with my decision to be here as it was truly the right move for me. > What are your goals following graduation from the MBA Program? The first goal is to use the knowledge and business acumen and continue to strive to learn and improve and to help implement new ideas in an organization. Another goal of mine is to work at a college/university in recruitement/talent acquisition. I would love to have the opportunity to recruit students who want to pursue their MBA and share with them my experience and knowledge that I learned at MSU. If not the education sector, then I would also like to work for an organization that allows me to get the exposure through an HRLDP of other areas of HR and be able to take on more responsibilities and train and manage others.
