We proudly joined Fleet Week with Marines from Camp Pendleton, Sailors from the USS Germantown, and first responders from the San Diego Police Department to Serve Heroes! It was an honor to come together with our community, celebrating the strength, dedication, and sacrifices of our service members and first responders who protect and serve us all. Thank you to everyone who made this event special! Gib Bosworth

On #SaturdaySalute, we recognize actor John Krasinski. Best known for his roles as Jim Halpert from "The Office" and Jack Ryan, John has become a regular at USO tours boosting troop morale since 2019. “It’s an absolute honor to go on a USO tour,” Krasinski said. “There is no way to ever be able to thank each and every service member for what they do for us, but none of us should ever stop trying. This is one way to say thank you.” Thank you, John, for supporting our nation's heroes. Today, we proudly #Salute you! #GSF #GSFSD #GSFSanDiego #GarySiniseFoundation #GratefulLikeGary

It's #FirstResponderFriday in #SanDiego! The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department Honor Guard was recently the recipient of a customized trailer, equipped with specialized shelving, secure storage, and air-conditioning. This will enhance their operational capabilities and ensure the safe transport of their equipment. Chief David Picone said, "This generous contribution symbolizes community support and respect for the Honor Guard's commitment to honoring fallen firefighters and their families." We are proud to support these heroes in maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and dedication. #GSF #GSFSD #GSFSanDiego #GarySiniseFoundation #GratefulLikeGary

#HookinVeterans, a non-profit started by Gary Sinise Foundation R.I.S.E. recipient Tyler Jeffries, is making waves by taking veterans deep sea fishing! Last week, the Gary Sinise Foundation's Sports and Recreation program sponsored a trip to Maine where the group enjoyed their time aboard "The Backstabber" with Captain Pete Speeches from #WickedTuna. #GSF #GSFSD #GSFSanDiego #GarySiniseFoundation #GratefulLikeGary

This #WarriorWednesday, we recognize a true American military hero, GSF Ambassador U.S. Army SGT (Ret.) Mike Schlitz. In February 2007, while serving overseas, Mike and his platoon were performing a basic road-clearing mission when two artillery shells attached to a propane tank exploded. Michael not only lost his platoon brothers that day, but he also sustained burns on 85% of his body, lost the vision in his left eye, and lost both of his hands. In his personal mission to give back to the Veteran and Ranger Communities, Mike regularly travels the country for speaking engagements and veteran events. Thank you, Mike, for your incredible service to our country and your continued service to the veteran community Today, we proudly salute you! #GSF #GSFSD #GSFSanDiego #GarySiniseFoundation #GratefulLikeGary

The Gary Sinise Foundation recently partnered up with a local high school for an unforgettable day at the Riverside Police Department. Students gained insight into the dedication and bravery of our law enforcement through engaging demonstrations and inspiring talks. After the tour, students were able to present the department a $25,000 grant on behalf of the Gary Sinise Foundation. As school Senior, Faryal, beautifully put it, "I learned about all the hard work that's put into their job. It's very intricate, and they put themselves in very scary situations. Their job is very hard and I have a lot of respect for them." #GSF #GSFSD #GSFSanDiego #GarySiniseFoundation #GratefulLikeGary

We are honored to have spent this Memorial Day weekend with Families of Our Fallen heroes in Washington, D.C. For these incredible families, every day is Memorial Day. So we curated a special trip, taking them to key sights around D.C., including the Museum of American History, the Library of Congress, and V.I.P. access to the PBS Memorial Day Concert dress rehearsal, to deepen their connection to the country their loved ones served and sacrificed for. Most importantly, it allowed these families to make new memories and forge lasting friendships with others who understand their unique loss. This Memorial Day, we encourage everyone to come together and lift up the families of fallen heroes in your communities, reflect on their sacrifices, and honor the legacy of their heroes. #GSF #GSFSD #GSFSanDiego #GarySiniseFoundation #GratefulLikeGary
