And our friends at MECA Therapies - Las Cruces are sponsoring the 2024 New Mexico Community Health Worker Conference with the New Mexico Department of Health's Office of Community Health Workers!!!!!! October 29-30th Santa Ana Start Casino Hotel, Bernalillo This year the New Mexico Medicaid Reimbursement model was approved by the Centers for Medicaid Services. This model allows CHWs and CHRs to bill Medicaid for their services. This allows communities in the state increased access to these healthcare providers for services like health education, health navigation and clinical support. 👏 Let's go, NM!!!!!!!!!!! 👏

She develops both community-based and facility based behavioral health initiatives to address the needs of diverse populations. Dr. Singh is a licensed mental health provider in New Mexico, Nevada, and California, where she oversees outpatient behavioral health and substance abuse services. Dr. Singh designs and manages behavioral health programs that provide holistic and evidence based approaches on mental health and substance use treatment. Her expertise extends to business development and management, leading efforts to expand and sustain outpatient behavioral health services across multiple states. She holds a doctorate in Mind-Body Medicine with a focus on integrative behavioral health from Saybrook University, along with a master’s degree in counseling, equipping her with a strong foundation in both clinical practice and program development.

Another incredible addition to our stellar October 17th Innovating Remote Access to Care event lineup: Shalini Shanker!!!! She will be leading a Table Talk to discuss successes and challenges developing innovative street medicine and mobile clinic programs, including some specific examples her organization, Wellness Equity Alliance, has launched here in New Mexico! Shalini Shanker is the Director of Operations for the Wellness Equity Alliance, where she leads multiple primary care and behavioral health initiatives from early identification and prevention in children to supporting incarcerated populations in their re-entry. Shalini Shanker holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.A. in Secondary Mathematics Education. Shalini Shanker is also the C.E.O of Medicine Box, a global integrative health platform utilizing blockchain technology. Previously, Shalini served as the first female Sr. Project Engineer at Nissan Tech. Ctr. to lead large teams between Detroit and Tokyo facilitating product development from prototype to production. Shalini has been a New Mexican resident for nearly 25 years. Serving as the Director of Institutional Advancement and as Bill and Melinda Gates Education Fellow, Shalini was pivotal in the growth of Amy Biehl High School, one of the first Albuquerque Charter Schools. Shalini excels in private/public partnerships and serves on numerous non-profit boards. Steph is an enrolled citizen of the Pueblo of Sandia and is committed to inspiring Indigenous communities through culturally competent community-based approaches. She has extensive experience in tribal engagement, public and community relations, capacity building and tribal economic development. Steph has extensive expertise in building teams to address complex issues.
