🌴 Exciting times in The Bahamas! ReDeCA's Third Annual Meeting kicked off today, bringing together leaders in evaluation within development banks from Latin America and the Caribbean. 🌐 ReDeCA, the Network for Developing Evaluation Capacities in LAC's development banks and institutions, is making waves. Its 26 member organizations from 13 countries are collaborating to strengthen evaluation practices. Highlights from Day 1: 🔹 The Right Hon. Philip Edward Davis MP KC, Prime Minister of The Bahamas, honored us with the inaugural address, underscoring the importance of robust evaluation in development. 🔹 Ilan Goldfajn, President of the Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo, shared welcoming remarks virtually, emphasizing our shared commitment to evidence-informed development. 🔹 Engaging sessions on institutionalizing the evaluation function, featuring experiences from BNDES (Brazil), Banco de Desarrollo del Ecuador B.P.(Ecuador), and Nacional Financiera, SNC (Mexico). 🔹 Thought-provoking feedback by Lycia Lima from FGV EESP Clear on building stronger evaluation functions. 🔹 Inspiring talk by Dugan Fraser, Program Manager of the Global Evaluation Initiative, on the future challenges of M&E systems. 📊 New Evaluation Alert: Enhancing Development Effectiveness at the IDB We've just released The Evaluation of the IDB Group's Development Effectiveness Framework (DEF). This comprehensive study offers valuable insights for improving how we measure and achieve development results.
