🎉 Exciting news: Our Evaluation Team is having a great time learning and networking at American Evaluation Association's #Eval24 this week! Yesterday, Lisseth Guerra presented a poster sharing lessons learned from an evaluation of three years of NACCHO's Adaptive Leadership Academy. She highlighted how the program enhanced local health officials' ability to respond to adaptive challenges and lead through times of change. Our next Data Sneak Peek is here! Key findings from our #NationalVCAssessment report (at lnkd.in/ek69HFfd) include: ↗ In 2023, 76% of respondents reported needing improved mosquito surveillance and control capabilities. However, this is down from 2017 when 84% reported the same. ↗ In 2017, 58% of responding programs performed non-chemical vector control. This increased to 88% in 2023. ↗ One in four respondents conducted tick surveillance activities, while only 4% conducted tick control activities. Most frequently, programs provided community outreach and education about tickborne diseases.
