"The 5th anniversary of oneAPI is an opportunity to recognize both the technical depth of the ecosystem, which enables applications to run on different hardware, and how it succeeds in forming a community around HPC, AI, API standards, and portable applications." – Dr. Hartwig Anzt, Chair of Computational Mathematics, University of Tennessee Knoxville See what others in the open ecosystem are saying about the impact of oneAPI on its fifth anniversary. 🎉
Celebrating five years of oneAPI! Launched at Supercomputing 2019, oneAPI revolutionized heterogeneous programming, empowering developers to build high-performance, cross-platform applications. With millions of installations and adoption by the UXL Foundation, oneAPI’s open-standard model continues to drive innovation and simplify development across accelerator architectures. What an incredible week at #kubecon + #cloudnativecon! I had the privilege of presenting a keynote on GenAI cloud native blueprints, showcasing how to easily launch GenAI applications with #OPEA on a K8s cluster using a flexible microservices architecture. And how lucky am I to have a tribe of humans supporting me along the way and on the day. A big thank you to those of you who texted, called, showed up early to grab a seat in that ginormous keynote room, or high-fived me in passing onsite. It means the world 💛 The CNCF crew works incredibly fast. Some highlights from this week at Kubecon in Salt Lake City 🏔️. Surprisingly, I saw snow here before it even arrived in Toronto! 😆 Kubecon is always an incredible opportunity to reconnect with community members we’ve worked with for months, exchange ideas, and share experiences. It was great to catch up with Melissa McKay Jerry Huang (PMP, MBA) Lori Lorusso Pablo Fredrikson and many others! ❤️ My heart belongs to LATAM, and it was especially meaningful to meet the LATAM community members here again. Just to mention some starting from someone I admire as a person and professional Eduardo Spotti and great folks like Caio Medeiros Pinto Francisco Meneses Gambino Mauricio Chris Mazur Cristher Castro y tantos mas! Vamos por Kubecon 2026 LATAM! Finally, I felt privileged to share the demo space with such great professionals as Ria Cheruvu and Eric Adams, it was definitely one of the best line ups for the recents Kubecon Don't forget to check out OPEA and be part of the GenAI revolution I hope to see you all in Kubecon 2025 in London!
