Major contract award in the UK for a world first carbon capture project 🏆 Along with our consortium partner GE Vernova and our construction partner Balfour Beatty plc, with the support of our technology partner Shell Catalysts & Technologies, we were awarded a major contract for the Net Zero Teesside Power project in the UK. This landmark project leverages our Canopy by T.EN™ solution powered by Shell’s CANSOLV CO2 Capture System and aims to be the world’s first gas-fired power station with carbon capture, expecting to capture up to 2 million tonnes of CO2 per year 🏗️ The plant could produce up to 742 megawatts of flexible, low-carbon power, equivalent to the average annual electricity requirements of more than 1 million UK homes ⚡ Supported by the UK government with a £21.7bn pledge for carbon capture projects, the project has the potential to create and support more than 3,000 construction jobs and then generate 1,000 jobs annually during operations 👷 Read our press release: https://lnkd.in/e8nXJ_nc #BePartOfTheSolution #NetZeroTeesside #CarbonCapture #CanopybyTEN

Repurposing proven technology to separate biochar and ash with the Shell TSS system. Pyrolysis and hydropyrolysis are both thermal decomposition processes that convert biomass or plastic waste into hydrocarbons by heating the material in the absence of oxygen. A key by-product of these processes is biochar, a low-value byproduct. Single cyclones, two-stage cyclones, and candle filters — and now, the Shell third-stage separator (TSS) — are available for separating biochar from hydrocarbon vapours and ash from flue gas. Read the article to discover the main advantages of the Shell TSS system over other options: https://hubs.ly/Q02VRVYR0 #CleanerEnergy #CatalystTechnology #CleanerEnergyForTomorrow
