This morning, Adam Hadley CBE, our Executive Director and Founder, joined Rachel Burden on BBC Radio 5 to discuss pressing issues surrounding online radicalisation, the Southport attack, and the urgent need for stricter regulations on weapon sales online. Adam outlined several critical challenges that demand immediate attention:

⭐ Looking back on our impact in 2024
"As we reflect on the past year, the urgency of countering terrorism and violent extremism online has never been clearer, from the March attacks in Moscow to July’s events in Southport and the escalation of conflict in the Middle East. Governments, tech platforms, and civil society must unite to tackle this challenge—working with platforms, enhancing regulations, and dedicating resources to protect online spaces. At Tech Against Terrorism, we remain committed to this fight and continue to save lives by disrupting terrorist use of the internet and upholding human rights."

🚨 Disrupting terrorism online in 2024
As the year draws to a close, our team has taken time to reflect on our impact and to highlight our most significant achievements.
🔎 Open Source Intelligence
In 2024, we elevated our threat intelligence capabilities, enhancing our ability to identify, track, and disrupt terrorist activity online. We focused on monitoring the spread of TVEC content post-October 7, 2023, the ongoing threat posed by terrorist-operated websites (TOWs), and the evolving tactics of TVE actors using emerging technologies.
Major milestones:
👉 Launched a trusted flaggers program, empowering verified experts to use the Terrorist Content Analytics Platform (TCAP) to alert designated terrorist propaganda
👉 Established a 24/7 Emergency Response Team with support from the Albanese Labor Government of Australia
👉 Identified and verified 55,475 unique URLs and alerted 36,037 pieces of content to platforms to date
🛠️ Capacity Building for the Future:
Since 2017, we've been empowering small tech platforms to future-proof their policies and processes against terrorist misuse.
Standout moments:
👉 Relaunched the TAT Network and our Trustmark, certifying platforms committed to disrupting terrorist activity and setting a gold standard for industry accountability
👉 Redeveloped the Knowledge Sharing Platform into a dynamic, accessible policy resource
👉 Delivered 19 OSINT and Capacity Building workshops to tech platforms and public stakeholders
🖥️ Advancing Technology for Good:
With support from the government of Canada and others, we have made substantial strides in enhancing the Terrorist Content Analytics Platform (TCAP)
Notable developments:
👉 Launched the TCAP Archive, the first-ever database of verified terrorist media holding 2.7TB of data
👉 Developed hash-sharing APIs for media and URLs
👉 Deployed cutting-edge AI technology to detect and classify terrorist content
