A One-of-a-Kind Globally-Focused Education Doctoral Program at USC Rossier
About us
The Global Executive Doctor of Education program is designed for full-time working professionals around the world who have a Master’s degree and significant leadership experience. The program prepares senior educational leaders, policy makers, administrators, and change agents for the challenging task of improving individual and national education outcomes. This program prepares leaders to achieve large-scale improvements across educational systems through strategic use of policy, innovative practice and assessment. The Global Executive EdD stresses the examination of educational solutions from around the world as participants work with their own local challenges. Our Global Executive Doctor of Education (EdD) program can be completed in approximately 25 months and allows students to remain fully employed while pursuing their doctorate. The program combines online classes with nine 1-2 week on-campus residential sessions over a two-year period. Participants will travel for nine intensive class sessions (11 weeks total) in Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Helsinki, and São Paulo. Students should expect to spend at least 12-15 hours per week on homework and online activities during the program. Also, additional time requirements can be expected during the latter half of the program when completing the Dissertation of Practice. These demands will vary depending on the topic, project methodology, and geographic location of each student’s dissertation. This program is open to all applicants, including those with no previous education coursework or professional experience. Please visit our website for more information, including admissions requirements and more.
