Tampa General Hospital and USF Health have brought the world’s most advanced robotic technology for lymphatic microsurgery to Florida. Through an agreement with MMI - Medical Microinstruments, Inc., the Symani Surgical System is now available at TGH as the first of its kind in the Southeastern United States, with the first patient treated using this innovative tool on Friday. This collaboration, established during Governor Ron DeSantis’ trade mission to Italy, combines academic medicine and industry innovation to improve outcomes for patients with complex conditions like cancer-related lymphedema. We’re so proud to pioneer this cutting-edge care for our region and beyond! #WeAreTGH #RoboticSurgery
