The market saw President-elect Trump's policies as boosting the U.S. dollar and corporate profitability while increasing the deficit and inflation. The U.S. dollar rose against advanced and emerging currencies most vulnerable to potential tariffs. Last week, Pieter Steyn, Managing Director - Investments, spoke at Isio's Fiduciary Management Conference Live 2024.
