I had the privilege of being invited to the city commission meeting a couple weeks back where Visit Johnson City received a proclamation for the 2nd Annual Johnson City Beautification Day. The Young Professionals of Johnson City, along with East Tennessee State University, Appalachian Maid Services, and other community organizations, have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this event for the last 2 years and seeing it grow - we cannot wait to see what year 3 holds! 🌱♻️

The need for professional development & networking doesn’t just start when you turn 21 - that’s why YP is coming to campus! ✏️🎓 YP On Campus will launch at East Tennessee State University this fall as a department-housed student organization under ETSU Career Services! The most exciting part of this? This “club” will be led by students - but have the added benefit of being backed by Career Services and their existing resources, connections, and events. Last night we had several brilliant & engaged students from all over campus join us to brainstorm what this could look like. We cannot wait for our young professionals to inspire & mentor our Bucs starting this fall! 💙💛💼

Time -flew- by for our group of young professionals at the Tri-Cities Airport (TRI) yesterday! ✈️ We are so thankful to Trevor Rice, their Marketing & Air Service Development Manager, for the exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the airport and presentation over lunch! Our YPs love to travel, so we are proud to continue to support their #FlyLocal initiative that keeps those dollars here in our region! 🌄 That’s just one reason why we #FlyTRI!

The Young Professionals of Johnson City had the opportunity to tour the Tri-Cities Airport (TRI), gaining valuable insights into the workings of the aviation industry. One key takeaway from our visit is the impact of local support on air service expansion. To secure more direct flights, it’s crucial that we demonstrate demand by consistently choosing to fly from our local airport. This supports our community's economic growth and can lead to more convenient travel options for all of us.
