Teen-led storytelling & community mobilization campaign to remove the stigma of mental health & prevent teen suicide.
About us
Zero Reasons Why® is a teen-led storytelling and community mobilization campaign to remove the stigma of mental health and prevent teen suicide. Adult voices have often been at the center of mental health conversations, but through the Zero Reasons Why campaign, teen voice is amplified. We share stories and perspectives to dismantle the stigma of mental health. We believe that reducing that stigma allows us to ask for help without shame or judgment. If we accomplish that, we believe we’ll see teen suicide decrease in our communities. It takes all of us—teens, parents, educators, health professionals and the community—to remove the stigma of mental health, foster community support, improve education and increase awareness to prevent teen suicide. Zero Reasons Why equips teen activists with the tools and public platform they need to drive change through strategic storytelling to build societal empathy. We have seen – and research affirms – that when mental health stigma is removed, teens are more likely to display help-seeking behavior that can save lives. Zero Reasons Why is actively working to address the youth mental health crisis — but we can’t do it without partner support. If you're interested in learning more about how you can support the Campaign, please reach out or visit our website.

It's #GivingTuesday and we need YOUR help to support teen mental health! In 2023, 1 in 5 high school students seriously considered attempting suicide, according to CDC data. We’re working to combat that number by changing the conversation around mental health — and we have our own data to back it up. In communities where Zero Reasons Why is active: 📈 96% of community members believe it has elevated the discussion and made teens feel supported 📈 84% of teens believe ZRW has been instrumental in removing the stigma of mental health and suicide 📈 75% of teens believe students are more comfortable asking for help 📈 110 high schools have pledged to support student mental health with us This wouldn’t be possible without financial support — and we want to see statistics like these becoming the norm across the U.S. Will you help us continue to scale our efforts to reach more teens who need support? Partner with us today: https://lnkd.in/gkP2FmYv #youthmentalhealth #mentalhealthcrisis
