We are living in the era of Ransomware! Things have changed dramatically over the last couple years. Ransomware activity and sophistication is increasing at an exponential rate, and sadly so are payouts. The team and special guest Dennis Underwood, CEO of Cyber Crucible and creator of Ransomware Rewind will be discussing: 👉 The new techniques being employed by the threat actors (memory injection, controlling trusted applications etc.) 👉 Ransomware effectiveness despite security deployed (they turnoff firewalls AV or avoid them) 👉 What they do before and after they trigger the malware 👉 Why prevention is your BEST option 👉 Why you should NOT pay the Ransom #cybersecurity #ransomware #riskmanagement

That will be interesting, I see a lot of incident for which I'm involved in incident response with VARS Corporation (Cyber Securité - Cyber Security) , and I can tell you, the root cause is very often poor security posture. So we have on a side, advanced threat actors, but also, very low security in organizations, recipe for chaos. Thankfully we help a lot getting better posture covering people, processes and technology, as a whole.
