Blues' Stuart Parnaby is out with ankle trouble so Stephen Kelly comes in. Kemy Agustien and Garry O'Connor (both groin) are fit but Mehdi Nafti is suspended.

Blackpool's Steve Kabba (calf and thigh) faces a test but Daniel Nardiello (hamstring) is doubtful. Alan Gow is short of fitness and Jermaine Wright (Achilles) may again miss out.

Coventry v QPR

Leon McKenzie got a knock in midweek but is expected to be fit and Guillaume Beuzelin is back from a calf injury.

Qpr defender Matthew Connolly is banned so Fitz Hall, back from a groin injury, could vie with Kaspars Gorkss for the spot. Damiano Tommasi is short of match fitness and Rowan Vine (broken leg) continues his rehabilitation.

Derby Co v CARDIFF CITY

Kris Commons (hamstring) and Rob Hulse (dead leg) will have fitness tests after missing Derby's midweek draw with Swansea.

Cardiff defender Miguel Comminges (head) and keeper Tom Heaton (chin) should be fit.

Midfielder Darcy Blake must get the all-clear from an eye specialist to play and Mark Kennedy (hamstring) remains doubtful.

Nottm Forest v CHARLTON

Nathan Tyson is pushing Andy Cole for a place in Forest's line-up.

Julian Bennett (calf), Lewis McGugan (thigh), ArronDavies (calf) and Paul Anderson (thigh) are all expected to miss out.

Svetoslav Todorov could be added to Charlton's squad but Zheng Zhi is still out (foot) and on-loan Linvoy Primus returns to Portsmouth for treatment.

Sheff Wed v IPSWICH

Steve Watson returns for Sheffield with Mark Beevers (hamstring) facing a fitness test. Peter Gilbert could make way for Beevers.

Defenders Ben Thatcher and Gareth McAuley missed Town's draw with Southampton because of dead legs but may return.

Midfielder Alan Quinn played against Saints and showed no ill effects after hamstring trouble.

Swansea v BURNLEY

Swansea boss Roberto Martinez may rest a handful of senior players ahead of the Carling Cup tie against Cardiff. Gorka Pintado, Fabian Brandy and Jordi Gomez may get starts.

Winger Chris Eagles is still suspended so Burnley may name an unchanged side. Remco Vander Schaaf and Christian Kalvenes are still out injured.

Bristol City v DONCASTER

Goalkeeper Adriano Basso (calf) may be available and Marvin Elliott could be on the bench again for City, while Brian Wilson will resume training next week after his shin splints problem.

Darren Byfield, Jason Price, Stuart Elliott and Paul Heffernan are all vying to replace striker Gareth Taylor (hamstring) for Doncaster.

C Palace v PLYMOUTH

Striker Alan Lee (hamstring) is close to making his Palace debut but James Scowcroft (hamstring) is out and Calvin Andrew (knee) is struggling. Midfielder Neil Danns (groin) is still missing.

Plymouth's Jim Paterson (thigh) faces a test but keeper Romain Larrieu expects to keep his place.

Gary Sawyer (hamstring) and David McNamee (calf) are still out.

Norwich v SHEFFUTD

A late decision will be taken on John Kennedy (ankle) but Sammy Clingan is out (shoulder) .

David Bell (ankle) could be in the Norwich squad for the first time since his move from Luton.

Defender Sun Jihai is banned so Derek Geary, Greg Halford and Kyle Naughton may play. Striker Billy Sharp (calf) should be fit for the Blades.

Preston v WOLVES

Full-back Callum Davidson (knee) and Richard Chaplow (hamstring) will have fitness tests for Preston. Striker Chris Brown (sciatica) is likely to remain sidelined.

Wolves striker Chris Iwelumo is expected to have recovered from a groin injury and winger Matt Jarvis is also likely to be fit. Midfielder David Jones (back) may not be in the line-up.

Southampton v BARNSLEY

Captain Michael Svensson could return to the Saints' defence after knee trouble. Ollie Lancashire (ban), Wayne Thomas and Lee Holmes (knees) are out.

Anderson De Silva (knee) is expected to return for Barnsley after a long absence with Martin Devaney back after illness. Kayode Odejayi is a doubt with a knee injury.

Watford v READING

Hornets right-back Lloyd Doyley and striker Tamas Priskin are both out (hamstrings ) so Adrian Mariappa and Will Hoskins should start. Grzegorz Rasiak (shoulder) and left-back Matt Sadler (knee) are still injured.
