Northern Ireland's World Cup campaign is back on track as Nigel Worthington's side pulled off a Windsor Park surprise by holding the group three favourites.
Worthington's men came into the game smarting from the weekend defeat in Slovakia. And despite the late withdrawal of midfielder Steve Davis because of family reasons they showed no ill-effects from their Bratislava setback as they stood up to early Czech pressure before going on to hold the side that out-played England last month.
Winger Keith Gillespie saw a close-range volley hacked off the line before Czech striker Milan Baros headed just wide.
Warren Feeney saw his 10-yard drive smothered by keeper Petr Cech six minutes after the break.
