It may be the Easter holidays. But there are still 20 new roadworks schemes starting in Plymouth this week, in addition to the schemes already ongoing.
One such scheme is the three-way traffic lights which have been put in place in Haye Road. Lasting until Thursday, April 11, the signals at Hercules Road junction, which are operational between, 9.30am to 3pm, caused traffic chaos this week.
On Monday night, Royal Parade will be closed eastbound, with the bus lane closed westbound, between 7pm and 11.30pm. This is for patch repairs to be carried out.

All this week on Wolseley Road heading outbound, one lane will be closed from Wolseley Close to Henderson Place, 9.30am to 3.30pm. This is for bus shelter works.
Then on Forder Valley Road on Thursday, there will be two-way signals outside petrol station, 7pm to midnight. This is for manhole and cover works.
Plymouth City Council has helpfully put out a list of roadworks that will be taking place across the city over the next week. The council is responsible for coordinating works carried out by utility companies, developers and other organisations as well as their own repair, maintenance and improvement works.
They maintain all public roads in Plymouth except the A38, which is managed by National Highways on behalf of the Department for Transport.
“We know there's no good time to close roads, especially on busy routes and we do everything we can to co-ordinate planned works and minimise their impact on our transport network,” a City Council spokesman said.
