Samsung Galaxy A9 receiving October update with feature enhancements and more
Most Galaxy devices have already got the October 2020 security update, while there are many smartphones still receiving this update. Likewise, Samsung is now rolling out the October 2020 security improvements for its Galaxy A9 devices.
The latest addition to the Galaxy A9 installs the October 2020 security patch, including the improvements and bug fixes. The update also brings new and enhanced features and further improvements to the performance of the device.

The Firmware of Galaxy A9 comes with the software version A920FXXS4CTJ6 for the devices with model number SM-A920F.
To manually check for the update head to Settings > Software Update > then tap on Download and install.

The Galaxy A9 was released with Android 8 Oreo pre-installed and since then it has received two major updates. The device is currently running on Android 10 based on One UI 2.0.

Moreover, the Samsung Find app and child account settings support security and family management. Samsung Internet allows tab group sharing, while Samsung Health offers customizable health goals and menstrual cycle tracking.
For advanced editing, the update adds precise clipping and object transfer between photos. It enhances video editing with speed adjustments and cross-device state sharing.
