WhatsApp Recent Media feature

WhatsApp is introducing a new feature for community group chats with the latest beta (2.24.13.4) update. The recent community media feature of WhatsApp aims to make it easier for users to find and manage shared content.

The new feature will provide a dedicated section to view all media shared within their community groups, including photos, videos, and GIFs, as well as documents and links.

Moreover, the recent media feature of WhatsApp will list the shared items and display the size of each file, helping users manage their phone storage better. This is mainly useful for identifying and removing large files that may be consuming excessive space.

This update is still in the development phase and will be released in a future version of WhatsApp. The feature is expected to improve the community group chat experience by updating and organizing shared media.

WhatsApp Chat History transfer feature

WhatsApp is simplifying the process of transferring chat history from one phone to another through a new feature. The fresh beta (2.24.13.6) update of WhatsApp introduces a new way for a seamless transfer of conversations from an old phone to a new one, without the need for Google Drive backups.

With Beta 2.23.9.19, WhatsApp brought a QR code-based system that allows users to move their chat history directly between Android devices. The beta new update suggests the possibility of extending this feature to allow cross-platform chat history transfers, potentially including iOS devices.

Presently, WhatsApp supports chat history transfers between iOS and Android, but it’s limited to newer Android versions and requires a physical cable. The new update aims to eliminate these restrictions to offer a universal solution for all users. This new feature would be a significant improvement over the current chat transferring method.

The details of how this new universal transfer feature will work are not yet clear, as it is still under development. Through this, WhatsApp aims to provide a more user-friendly and universally applicable migration solution.

WhatsApp Chat History transfer feature

WhatsApp is releasing a new beta update with version 2.24.13.3, which brings a new feature that allows users to pin their most important channels to the top of their channel list.

The new feature is currently available to a limited number of beta testers. It makes it easier for users to keep track of their top two preferred channels.

Previously, users had to scroll through all their channels to find the ones they visited usually. The new pinning feature of WhatsApp simplifies this by letting users select up to two channels to pin at the top of their list. This feature is saving time and improving overall app navigation.

To pin a channel, users simply choose the channel and use the pin option in the app’s top bar. Once pinned, the channel will remain at the top of the list for easy access.

Moreover, the update also includes the ability to perform actions on multiple channels at once, such as muting or marking them as read. The new feature is expected to be rolled out to more beta testers soon.

WhatsApp Chat History transfer feature

WhatsApp has released a fresh beta (v2.24.12.27) update for Android devices, which introduces a new feature that allows users to confirm their privacy settings before posting a status update. This feature is similar to one already available for iPhone users and is currently being tested by a limited number of beta users.

The update provides users more control over who sees their status updates. Before posting, users are prompted to review and customize the recipients for their content to ensure that only chosen contacts can view it.

The status privacy confirmation feature simplifies the process of sharing updates by allowing users to set their preferences once, rather than having to do so for each status.

It means that now you won’t have to go into status privacy to select an option from the ‘Who can see my status updates’ setting as you can now manage it directly while posting your status.

This new feature is gradually becoming available to more Android beta users through the Google Play Store.
