Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Ultra and Buds 3 are designed by an ex-Mercedes-Benz designer. These products are slated to launch on July 10 in Paris. Ahead of the unveiling, a Samsung insider revealed how the products are crafted with a radical redesign.

According to IceUniverse, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watch Ultra and Buds are designed by Hubert Lee. He has worked at Mercedes-Benz for over two decades, ranking as Chief of the Design department. Notably, Lee joined Samsung in December 2022.

Joining in late 2022 didn’t bring any notable change to Samsung’s design strategy. However, the official experience is now being deployed in the products coming next month. We’ve heard the Galaxy S25 series will feature a major design upgrade in the lineup.

Samsung disclosed in December 2022 that Lee will lead the MX Design Team, which is responsible for creating Galaxy products like S Series, Z Series, Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Watch and more. His unique and visionary perspective will help shape the look and feel of Galaxy, building on the distinct design ethos.

Galaxy Watch Ultra will be the first Ultra-branded smartwatch by Samsung. It will have the most advanced hardware and software capabilities. The company may also fuel some exceptional health and wellness-related features so it could stand apart from rivals.

Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch 7 Classic are also coming with a similar design as their predecessors. If you want a design upgrade, you will have to pay double the price and get the Ultra model. Despite featuring a squarish frame with curved edges, the screen will remain circular.

Talking about the Galaxy Buds 3, you will have an Apple AirPods-inspired design. It will result in a significantly enhanced calling experience, thanks to AirPods like stems and vents. The battery capacity might also be enhanced, utilizing the additional space in the body.
