Samsung Galaxy S24 May 2024 update

Samsung could further reduce the thickness of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, making it the sleekest Galaxy. While phone makers are fueling their new flagships with larger batteries and monstrous camera modules, Samsung seems to be sticking with its design elegance.

IceUniverse claims that the Galaxy S25 Ultra thickness will measure 8.4mm, making it Samsung’s sleekest flagship. It’s a sharp reduction compared to the S24 Ultra which measures 8.6mm thick. Notably, the thickness of the S25 Ultra is said to be 0.6mm less than the S23 Ultra.

Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max is rumored to be 8.26mm thick. Despite featuring an in-built S Pen, 5,000mAh battery, and powerful camera sensors, the Galaxy S25 Ultra would manage to be practically as thin as its Apple counterpart coming in September.

Recently, it was rumored that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will have rounded corners. While using the recent Ultra flagships single-handedly, it hurts the user’s palm due to sharp corners. Samsung has listened to consumer feedback, reducing the sharpness of corners to feel rounded.

In addition, the design that the Galaxy Watch Ultra would feature would be seen in the S25 Ultra as camera rings. The phone would ditch its boxy design, but the S Pen will surely be equipped as an in-built accessory. One UI 6.1.1 is said to have many AI features for the S Pen.

Samsung has to make its Galaxy design department aggressive to better compete with rivals. Debuting the same design with substantial enhancements has become a controversial trend in recent times. Design overhauls in the next-gen flagships are worth welcoming.

Meanwhile, Samsung just announced its July Unpacked event for unveiling new foldable phones and wearables. Next month, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be announced along with the Watch Ultra, Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch 7 series, and Buds 3 series.

James is the lead content creator on Sammy Fans and mostly works on Samsung's firmware section. His first phone was the Galaxy S4 and continues to get new S series devices. Most of the time, James tries to learn about new technologies and gadgets but he also sneaks a bit of free time to nearby rivers and nature.

Samsung Nearby Scanning Galaxy Ring

Some of the Galaxy Ring features were discovered in Samsung Health ahead of launch. The company confirmed its next Unpacked event on July 10 in Paris, France. The brand’s first ring-style health-tracking device will also be released at the event.

AndroidAuthority in its APKTeardown of Samsung Health discovered the UI of Galaxy Ring features. The revelation confirms that this innovative device will allow you to measure your heart rate and stress. You can also use the Ring to measure skin temperature and predict periods.

When paired with Galaxy as a companion, the Galaxy Ring will enable its Snore detection feature. It should be noted that some of these features require your phone to be nearby and charging. The Health app will also need permission to record audio through your phone to detect snores.

The Galaxy Ring is expected to support more features during the official launch. Features that are spotted in Samsung Health are from the latest version of the app. The app would get a major update, bringing Ring-related features following the release next month.

Samsung is expected to launch at least nine sizes of the Galaxy Ring. The largest size will have a larger battery capacity, allowing you to use it for a longer period on a single charge. Potential buyers will have the option to order a Sizing Kit before getting the Ring delivered.

Apart from the Galaxy Ring, the South Korean tech giant will introduce many more products. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 will take center stage. Besides, the Galaxy Watch Ultra will join the event alongside the Watch 7 series and Buds 3 series.
