The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is a non-profit organization overseeing the operation and execution of collegiate sports for around 1,100 schools in the United States. The NCAA is divided into three divisions, with the biggest schools competing in 32 D-1 conferences. Across all three divisions, the NCAA sponsors 90 championships in 24 sports.

The NCAA ended fiscal year 2023 with $1.3 billion in revenue, according to its latest audited financial statement. The president of the NCAA is Charlie Baker who took over the role in 2022. Some of the biggest issues Baker has dealt with as NCAA president have been handling name, image and likeness (NIL), conference realignment and antitrust lawsuits. Baker, the former governor of Massachusetts, replaced Mark Emmert, who held the position for 12 years.
