Silicone air fryer tongs
Asking how you get fries out of an air fryer sounds like a riddle, but there’s a straightforward answer. You need a set of silicone tongs. They’re ideal for turning over hot steaks and fillets midway through cooking and help you avoid the messy, annoying business of trying to pick up a heavy cooking drawer to tip your chips into a bowl.
These tongs are made from stainless steel and food-grade silicone and can be slung in the dishwasher when you’re finished. Plus, you can use them in your pans and oven.
Navani
In the UK, this 9-inch set from Navani is usually priced at £6.99, but you can get it for only £4.99 in the Prime Day sale.
In the US, an identical set from OXO is yours for $11.50, down from an everyday price of $15.95.
Air fryer liners
If you loathe cleaning your air fryer, liners are what you need. We’ll be honest: using a liner will affect the airflow around your food, so you’re more likely to need to turn or shake your food. They’ll also prevent oil from dripping away under the crisper plate, although they will absorb some of it from the food.
But for some people, that’s a small price to pay to avoid cleaning your air fryer drawers after use – because otherwise, that’s something you absolutely need to do, and ideally after every time you cook in it.
ByKitchen
In the UK, these Bykitchen unbleached parchment liners come in a set of 50 and measure 6.5 inches across. The 50-piece set is usually priced at £10.99, but you can nab them for just £5.97 in the Prime Day sale.
In the US, a set of 200, unbleached liners cost $12.79, down from $19.99 for Prime Day.
If you’d prefer to avoid sending more waste to the landfill, you can buy a set of silicone air fryer liners, instead of disposable parchment. Bear in mind that you’ll obviously still need to wash these but they’re dishwasher-safe. Another plus with this set is that the base is ridged, so the oil in your food can drain off.
Yingrace
In the UK, this set of two 20x20cm silicone liners from Yingrace is usually priced at £16.99, but you can pick them up for just £14.44 in the Prime Day sale.
In the US, a set of two, 8.5-inch liners form Loveuing would usually set you back $12.99, but you can get them in the Prime Day sale for $10.39.
Oil spray bottle
Prepared freezer food can go straight into the air fryer without any help, but some food items need a little oil: the operative word being little. The secret is to spritz your roast potatoes, meat and fish with oil, rather than dousing them.
All you need is to keep a countertop spray bottle to hand. The Yarramate oil spray bottle is made from food-grade, BPA-free plastic and glass and has a fill volume of 500ml. It’s leakproof and has a second aperture that opens with a press when you need a glug of oil.
Yarramate
In the UK, it’s usually priced at £11.99 but you can get it in the Prime Day sale for £10.18.
In the US, the Yarramate oil spray bottle usually sells for $10.99, but it’s available for just $7.99 in the Prime Day sale.
