Samsung’s older smartwatches in the Galaxy Watch series will now start being upgraded to the new operating system Wear OS 5.0, Android Police reports.
The Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra were launched with the new software, but now the Galaxy Watch 6 has also gained access to Wear OS 5.0. However, owners of the LTE model may have to wait a little longer for it to arrive.
Some of the new features in the Wear OS 5.0 firmware update include the “Energy Score”, a summary of your daily mental and physical health based on your sleep and activity levels, and a more detailed sleep analysis using Galaxy AI. The new operating system should also make it faster to scroll through menus on the smartwatch.
Samsung’s even older smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5, will get access to Wear OS 5.0 in the coming weeks.
