Microsoft revealed today the first wave of games that are coming to the Game Pass library in 2025. The highlights include the original Diablo game from 1997, which will be coming to PC Game Pass on January 14. EA Sports UFC 5 is also coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via EA Play on that same day, but it will only be available on Xbox Series X|S consoles and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Microsoft has been quite slow to add Activision Blizzard games to Game Pass, and the original Diablo game is quite a surprising choice. It has a really dated gameplay by today’s standards, and it’s also only available on PC. However, this opens the door to Diablo 2, its remaster Diablo 2: Resurrected, and Diablo 3 coming to Game Pass in the near future.

Other Game Pass additions this month include Road 96, which is coming back to the Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass library today. It’s also being added to the new Game Pass Standard tier, which will get four additional games on January 8: Lightyear Frontier, My Time at Sandrock, Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders, and Rolling Hills.
Lastly, Microsoft announced that six games will be leaving the Game Pass library on January 15: The list includes Common’Hood, Escape Academy, Exoprimal, Figment, Insurgency Sandstorm, and Those Who Remain. As usual, Game Pass subscribers can purchase these games with a 20% discount before their removal from the service.
