Savannah Guthrie is letting everyone know it's a new era at the "Today" show -- with a dash of humor -- after Hoda Kotb's departure and Craig Melvin taking her seat on the couch.

Guthrie and Melvin sat down with host Jimmy Fallon on his late-night show Thursday — and talked about Kotb's high-profile exit from the morning show after nearly 18 years.

Gutherie told a funny little tale about how she tossed out all of Hoda's "s***" after Kotb officially left the show last Friday.

Jay Leno is determined to do what he can to help the Los Angeles firefighters combatting the ongoing wildfires in the region ... comparing their efforts to a "military operation."

The celebrated comedian joined us on "TMZ Live" Tuesday, where he revealed his mission to help feed the dedicated first responders who are putting their lives on the line to tackle the stubborn infernos plaguing the City of Angels.

While Jay joked these firefighters can really eat, he made it clear he was happy to be of service ... especially after witnessing the conditions they are facing.

The Oscar-winning actress sat down Wednesday with the show's host, Jimmy Fallon ... and almost immediately became emotional while discussing the devastation in her neighborhood -- the Pacific Palisades -- and other communities ravaged by the infernos that have claimed the lives of at least 5 people.

As Jimmy was about to start the convo, Jamie cut him off and dove right into the nightmare scenario unfolding in L.A., calling it "f***ing gnarly, you guys" as her voice cracked while on the verge of tears.

The Amazing Kreskin -- the world-renowned mentalist with connections to some of the biggest stars in show business -- has died ... according to a statement posted to his social media.

Kreskin's social media accounts posted a statement late Tuesday ... explaining the star passed away in the middle of the holiday season he loved so much.

According to the post, Kreskin decorated his house with numerous decorations and multiple Christmas trees each year -- and hosted lavish Christmas parties where he regaled guests with "Ave Maria."

Jay Leno looked a hell of a lot better Friday night as he attended amfAR's inaugural Las Vegas benefit event ... after a fall earlier in the week did some wicked damage to his face.

Jacob said he was already aware of the candles, thanks to his "Priscilla" costar Cailee Spaeny -- but, he says he's not seeing a dollar off the product.

Of course, he couldn't leave without taking a big old sniff of himself ... and even got his mouth involved a la Barry Keoghan's character in "Saltburn."

We won't give away too much, but all ya gotta know is BK's character, Oliver, slurps up some very spicy bathwater after Jacob's character, Felix, does much more than just soak in it.

Like we said, stomach-turning!

As for how well the candle captures Jacob's essence -- the Australian actor seemed a bit unimpressed, noting it smells more like laundry detergent than him.

"Saltburn" is taking the world by storm right now, racking up nominations this awards season ... and Elordi's stayin' busy too with an 'SNL' hosting gig coming up Saturday.
