The Ming Tombs are located to the south of Tianshou Mountain in Changping. They are the collective names of the Ming Dynasty ancestors of Zhu Xi and the tombs of the thirteen emperors. They are also the most well preserved and buried mausoleum in the world today, in 2003, they were listed as a World Heritage site". The Juyong pass’s 15 km-long section of the Great Wall was built in a valley, where there are overlapping ranges of tall mountains on each side. The trees are lush and the mountains bloom with flowers, suffice it to say the scenery is simply magnificent. It was the seat of the Jin Dynasty 800 years ago, and today it is listed as one of the eight scenic spots in Yanjing, aptly called the “Juyong Pinnacle”.
