Taking a step forward from a romantic perspective, Moiwa has a culture of the "Fortune Bell", where the couple holds the thread and ring the bell to pray that their love for each other flourishes. To demonstrate their commitment to love, the handrail around the fortune bell has numerous padlocks hanging on it with the belief that the couple with their names engraved on the locks shall never part ways.
