The property is located at strategic area. Near restaurant. Although room is small but it nice. The breakfast also delicious with several option like nasi goreng, kueyteow goreng and soup. Only the bathroom door they need to improve.

This hotel is conveniently location in the Prai area; close to the highway - access via car or Grab is easy. It is also 6km away from Penang Central for access to the Ferry. Check in was convenient and easy but staff has to update their knowledge on hotel, facility, bookings and room perks; and also the surroundings because clients might ask for information. Room was superspacious, internet was somewhat stable but had trouble accessing some of my work pages (probably network security). Despite looking modern, its also a bit runned down where some furnitures needing a refresh and touch ups (see picture). Bed and linens were spacious and comfortable and airconditioning was manageable. Bathroom was okay with the cute toiletries provided (really cute). My room type comes with free minibar so they refreshed it daily. TV screen is huge but channel selection was limited. Breakfast buffet was mediocre at best but staff were always ever present. The doorman and security are kindest at the hotel.

Strategic place in Georgetown, nearby to most of the famous foods. Walking distance. Nearby, 5 minutes walk is a night market selling char kuey teow, satay, chicken wings and many more. Hotel is clean, staffs are friendly, able to assist in all our queries. Parking is free, just get the waiver ticket from the lobby counter. Overall great experience.

The hotel location is at Lebih Farquhar, George town Penang. The room is clean and comfortable. Staff are helpful and friendly. No deposit when you check in the hotel. Parking is free provided by the hotel. Easy to get the food and beverage by walking distance.

I am 100% okay with the hotel. However the lady that’s attending the transportation counter is a liar. I requested an innova to fit my family and our luggages. She said yes, took our payment and came with an aruz. Which we can book by grab at a fraction of the price. Currently in the car w her and fuming w anger. My parents had to take a separate cab. If we knew we would’ve just booked 2 grabs! She is charging rm 85 for an aruz when in grab its just rm 40. So please do not use her services! What a liar. Say got Innova but come w an Aruz. Ridiculous

We just love everything about your resort. Everything nearby and walking distance. Your food is really good . We dine in at Cinnamon and Gustoso food is delicious. Kudos to chef and services staff too. Talking about cleanliness wow my room.is top notch clean with comfortable bed and lovely view. Really love everything about Parkroyal Penang ! Last but not least the STAFF itself who play very important role for the hotel. My stay at St Giles Wembley Hotel, Penang, was truly delightful thanks to the excellent service provided. Initially, I chose the executive room under the impression that it would include a bathtub. Although this wasn’t the case, the hotel staff promptly apologized and compensated with complimentary breakfast, which I appreciated greatly. What elevated my experience further was gaining access to the Executive Lounge. The service there was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and professional. The chef and lounge staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making every visit a pleasure. The highlight of my mornings was undoubtedly the breakfast, especially the nasi lemak, which was absolutely delicious. The coffee deserves special mention as well—simply the best. The room itself was very clean, though I noticed that the carpet might need a bit more attention, as dust could be an issue if kids run around. However, this was a minor concern compared to the overall cleanliness and comfort of the room. The hotel’s strategic location made getting around Penang incredibly convenient, and the checkout process was seamless and efficient, with no unnecessary delays. Overall, St Giles Wembley exceeded my expectations with its attentive service, fantastic amenities, and strategic location. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Penang.

Come for the view but do not expect anything else. Newly checked in room was not clean and fully equipped. Mirror was smudged, lack of hand towels, sink was clogged, shower drain was clogged, safe was locked not ready for use. Light at vanity in toilet was blinking. Spilled coffee in living room was still there when we checked in. And this was supposed to be a Suite. Go figure. Staff was very unfriendly everywhere especially front office except for one. Breakfast crew was unhelpful. Only helpful staff was a night security. As dreary and unpromising as Penang itself. Over rated and over priced.

The hotel is old in terms of furniture , but it is very suitable for those who bring with kids because there are many facilities for children.. A beautiful place to relax while watching the sunset while having a massage.. The staff hotel has friendly and helpful staff, especially the staff who help deliver bags to the room. .. no matter what, I will probably come back to this hotel again..

This is our 2nd experience with Cititel Express Penang. The hotel location was very central to Georgetown. Easy accessible to 1st Avenue mall, Komtar, Prangin mall. It is also a 5 mins walk to Presgrave  and Kimberly night market Receptionist lady upon my check in was very professional & quick in process our check in.  On hotel amenities, I personally love the hotel support in reduce plastic use to safe the environment. With this the hotel installed water dispenser at convenient location for the hotel guest to help themselves. A jar with lid is provided in the room.

My elderly parents stayed at The Gurney during their medical checkup in Penang and accidentally left behind some documents. We emailed the hotel and left a message through booking.com to no avail. Then through a phone call, we got connected to Danesh at the Concierge Department, who then went the extra mile to coordinate among various departments within the hotel, and mailed the document through express courier service. His attentive service is highly appreciated.

It was great. Very good location. My kids had great fun. The swimming pools and the beach were amazing. Sea sports activities all along the beach was a blast. Ride the jet ski and parasailing. The kids loved the place and activities available. They needed to be persuaded to go home. 🤣😅

It started off rough. Got into the hotel early to leave our luggage and the guy manning the check in was cold, standoffish, and didn’t even bother replying to our pleasantries. When we returned, a misunderstanding ensured. Cos of my earlier encounter, I was just unreasonable. But thank goodness for Suhaila (I think) and her manager - they deescalated the situation with grace and aplomb. That bump aside, I had a lovely time. Was in room 213. Initially I was worried because I have read about noise issues coming from the club next door. But either the club was closed or the soundproofing worked, there were no disturbances. We slept like babies. The room was beautiful, and the location is amazing. This hotel is highly Recommended. Just don’t bother to pay extra for the breakfast. That was just too sad. We tried it on our last day in the hotel as we were leaving early for the airport. It was dismal.

We had a pleasant three-day stay at this hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location, situated between two large malls with plenty of shops and restaurants and within a reasonable cab ride to both George Town and Batu Ferringhi. The room was quite spacious but a little bit dated and worn down. It could use a refresh. The bed was very comfortable, however, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. We enjoyed using the beautiful infinity pool. Service was friendly and efficient. One area that could use improvement is the breakfast. Although there is a good variety of items offered, many just weren't very tasty. The best thing on the buffet was the homemade ice cream. Overall, this is a good place to stay when exploring the island of Penang.

I mean yes it is 30mins from the main town of the Penang, but look at the view. Every morning we open the window and saw the pine trees the beach the sunshine and the sea it feel like a kind of new born. People are friendly and kind，always willing to help. Having time staying in the Lone Pine should be one of my best memories in Penang, can't wait to visit there next year's holiday!

We had a relaxing and memorable stay at E&O. Our room offers a sea view which is great and feel peaceful. Although the hotel is a bit old, it’s generally well maintained. Staff are always smiling and willing to help. They provide new towels and bottled water every day. Staff service at the breakfast buffet are excellent. Sunset was beautiful.

A stylish and classy hotel, strategically located near Little India, art area, food museum, all are a few minutes away. The jetty is about a 15 minute walk. However as a solo female traveller, all the adjacent streets are dark and quiet so didn’t feel comfortable walking around after 21:00. Room was cosy and nicely designed, bed was comfortable, and the free mini bar and sweets left in the jar daily was a lovely touch. Breakfast was ok, but the in-room food service was excellent and meals were fantastic. The room also has a water filter, saves buying bottled water. All staff were pleasant and helpful. The views from the rooftop pool are great, albeit the pool is on the smaller size. Enjoyed my three nights and would recommend the hotel.

I paid 150 RMB for high tea today and although the product was creative and a bit fun I left hungry. My main issue however was the service. It appears there was no manager on duty because the staff were messing about on their mobile phones and I had to always ask them for things because they were focussed on chatting and their phones. It wasn’t 5 star at all and having managed hotels the service was actually appalling. I found a bit of plastic in one of the dishes and the staff member just took it from me and threw it in the bin. No acknowledgement. Then I was waiting in the lobby for my cab and I can hear front desk staff laughing and messing about. They were only interested in messing about. I feel cheated by todays experience and I hope they get manager back on duty soon because today it was not being managed at all

Very personal and warmth team.... Amir was very easy going and furnished us with every information that we asked. Housekeeping staff upheld their honesty - we left our usual tips on the bed every morning for the housekeeping staff but they placed the money on the bed side table every day after their cleaning. We salute their integrity and honesty even though the tip was meant for them. The place was clean and location superb. Definitely worth every moment and $$.

The facilities live up to the Shangri-La experience and consistent to Shangri-La Singapore where I frequent. The view is great and link to the beach. However the Rasa Sayang don’t meet my expectations on other area. The place is badly maintained and the equipment is old. The Toliet sink is faulty, drawers are broken. TV is old and the channel all have static which makes you feel like watching TV in 1980s. This place needs a revamp! There was a service break down when we check in but I will not mention it because the recovery from day two is excellent. Sorry to give a bad review cause at this price point for a hotel in Penang, I expected more.

The location of the hotel is outside the city center. Quite difficult for those who don’t have a car. However, it is easy to get a Grab. Just wait for 5 minutes to get a Grab. The breakfast is super good. Stayed there for 3 days, and the main dishes change every day. Nice and cosy place. During the stay, need to check in at the temporary office because it is under construction. The room is ok not super but but needs to be improved on the condition of the room. Overall, if you intend to stay for relaxing, this is the place.

Firstly the staff, they are all really lovely and cannot do enough for you. When we checked in we realised that we had accidentally booked the wrong week! But this wasn’t an issue as we were given a better room for the same price! In fact, we actually enjoyed our stay that much we ended up staying for 14 nights! The location is great, there’s plenty to do, lots of great cheap restaurants and the beach is less than a few minutes walk. Initially it was hard to find as it’s placed in an old shopping centre on the 2nd floor. We took the escalators but there is also a lift. Once you get inside, the secure front door the reception is modern and clean, 24hr help is always available and the rooms lock with a physical key. You get way more than you’d expect for the price. Modern clean rooms with refurbished en suite with rainfall shower. Hot water at all times and reliable WiFi. Tea and coffee 24/7 too! And breakfast everyday until 11am!! Every 3 days we got clean towels, fresh sheets and the room was cleaned. Some guests have complained about the noise from the charaoke which is on the same floor but our room was the closest to this and we were never kept up, the latest would could just about hear it was 23:30 but this was on a Saturday night! The only downsides, albeit small, were the lack of variety at breakfast, lack of natural light in the rooms due to the windows facing into the shopping centre so the curtains should be closed, and the WiFi was a bit slow, but only noticeable if streaming HD videos, for general web surfing it was more than capable! Overall me and my partner were very happy with our 2 weeks we spent here, we felt very safe and relaxed and you can’t argue with the price! It saved us a lot of money on our 6 month trip and was one our favourite place we stayed in Penang! Thank you once again, if we are ever in Malaysia again we will be sure to visit :)
