This hotel totally awesome place to stay with friendly front desk staff, comfortable bed to rest, nice amenities to use while staying, delicious breakfast with various menu to choose. But it is nicer if check in progress can be shorterned. Waiting time for check in process a bit long compared to other nice hotel. But good thing is, safety deposit is not mandatory here compared to other hotel in KK.

Before I arrived I asked both hotels for excursion and activity reccomendations. Ria rasa helped and booked multiple exciting tours. This hotel didn't respond multiple times, so I chased and emailed again and again. Eventually being sent a link to an excursion company with tons of 3-5 day jungle tours. This was a two night stay. When we arrived I asked again about activities. I was sent to a desk that nobody was stood at, waited for far too long, found a qr code messaged and was told it wasn't their job. Eventually in the guest handbook I found the contact details for fishing and boat tour. I didn't get a reply until after all the next days tours had departed with a message saying we are full. Honestly if you have the choice I would highly recommend the slightly longer transfer and head to the Shangri-la Ria Rasa instead. You'll be treated well, the hotel is more relaxing and the staff acknowledge your existence.

A Memorable Stay with Exceptional Service and Comfort From the moment I arrived at Cititel , I knew I was in for a great experience. The staff greeted me warmly, and the check-in process was quick and seamless. My room was immaculate, with tasteful decor and an incredibly comfortable bed that ensured restful sleep every night. The amenities truly set this hotel apart. The rooftop pool provided stunning views, and the spa was the perfect place to unwind. I also dined at the hotel restaurant, where both the food and service were outstanding—especially the breakfast buffet, which offered fresh and delicious options. Location-wise, it’s ideally situated for sightseeing, shopping, and dining, with many attractions within easy walking distance. I really appreciated the attention to detail and the level of care the staff put into ensuring my stay was perfect. Overall, Cititel made my trip unforgettable. Overall the hotel is okay, the rooms are big, and they provide okay service, staffs are okay as well. The only thing that i didn’t like is that it feels like the aircon is a bit strange, it cools down the room very slowly. And it seems we can’t set the temprature, it’s just a switch to turn on or off the aircon. If you are used to the strong aircon in hong kong probably you should look somewhere else. But if you like a mild air con then this hotel is quite good. The location is good very close to all sorts of resturants. And gaya street weekend market is a blast.

Very good location. Nearby Philippine market, Gaya Street (night market on Saturday night & wet market on Sunday morning), convenient stores, restaurants. All within walking distance. Also, karaoke, saloon, massage (rm50/hr) within walking distance too. There are Angkut Van in front of the hotel that can bring u to many other cities such as Kota Belud, Ranau, Marudu etc. There's bus to Uitm & UPM too. Only thing is iron board is a outside room (sharing basis-location in front of lift) and the hair dryer is attached to the bathroom and takes so long to dry hair)

The only hotel in DesignHotelsTM group in Borneo island! The lobby and room design, coffee, cocktail and food quality is probably the best you'll find in Sabah and its at par with Singapore standards. The hotel doesn't just give you the environment of a design hotel, great coffee, bespoke cocktails, delicious food but it also offers true Sabahian hospitality that you will not experience anywhere else. As soon as I arrived, one of the hotel owners personally came and greeted me and spend his time to give me a tour and explain the concept of the hotel and its design. The design of the hotel is influenced by different Sabahian landscapes and local craftsmanship depicted through contemporary means. Materials and craft is all sourced locally. I had the chance to meet both the owners and their hospitality was unprecedented. They took their time to get to know me and introduce Sabah and its culture. Something that you will not experience at big chain hotels. The LUMA is a brand new hotel group. There will always be room for improvement in their services. The willingness to improve is there and they listen if you have any complaints or needs.

The reception who helped us with our check in is very unprofessional. 2 of them have keropok on their desk and eat in front of me. Later they even exchange each other’s keropok. I didn’t see her wash hand before handling my hotel room key/document! Other service, for aircon and hot water issue, after cll them, they came quite on time to fix problem. The only reason I will return will be their hotel room size, excellent room view and breakfast view. Thank you

Stay in Deluxe room, spacious, ample solid wood furnishing, bed, sliding wooden door curtain gave a antique warm feel, bathtub was a treat, many newer hotel wouldn't have bathtub for RM150 per night, marble bathroom floor and sinktop, looks wee b it aged but functions well. Personally for environmental friendliness, it is better to maintain quality aged furnishing in hotel rather than continuously dismantling older furnishing to change to new ones which likely to be of less quality, like no longer solid wood or marble. Lobby and breakfast area also have marble floor, lavish chandelier, wood frame walls. Breakfast though limited choice was quite tasty. Just one suggestion: please provide milk for coffee rather than just using creamer pack.

Nice place. Near to shoppg suria mall. Easy to find makan2. Services & hospitality from staff is really good and friendly. Maybe will come again next time. Just for parking need to pay rm 15/day. Nice view from level 10.

Hyatt regency lives up to its brand in Sabah! Exemplary hospitality, ultra clean room, great location, wonderful breakfast spreads and awesome staff! No regrets taking the club lounge option with sea view, even the lounge food was exceptionally delicious, kudos to the chef! A tad old in terms of furnishings but it retains the classic style of early 2000s, bringing good memories of my travels and staying in various Hyatt.

Overall our 2-night stay at Hyatt Centric KK was comfy n relaxing. The lobby n top floor lounge ambience is excellent~feeling of calmness. Rooms are spacious n clean with beautiful sunset seaview. We especially like the bathroom with sitting bench~ a considerate design for guests who prefer to sit n shower. Restaurant staff were very well-mannered n helpful. The hotel is well located just opposite the Sabah Suria shopping mall, so it's very convenient if you wish to dine out or shop around…

The location was good as all the eateries and convenience stores were within walking distance. However, I could only give as little as 1 star to its cleanliness. My wife found out that there was a blood stain on the bedsheet and we requested it to be changed to the guy at the reception. We requested it while on our way out for dinner and the receptionist notified the housekeeper to handle it before we got back. When we returned, the bedsheet was still where it was, so I called reception again and I was appalled that he told me they got to the wrong room. The room number was mentioned to the reception earlier, but I was just shocked they could make such a silly mistake as tedious as this one.

it was a beautiful spot to see the sunset. Unfortunately during our stay the weather was not so great, we couldn't see the famous sunset. The breakfast was great and room was great. I will visit here If I am ever in town again. I love the swimming pool. The package was somewhat useful but can be better. The only complaint I have is the snorkeling aera. Housekeeping does an excellent job of keeping the rooms spotless, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel is top-notch. The breakfast buffet is especially impressive, with a wide selection of dishes that cater to different tastes.

The staffs were friendly, the room was clean. Only we got the superior room instead deluxe room. We booked deluxe room with bathtub. But nevermind, the room was given near to the lift, easy to go up and down with kids. The food also delicious and variaty. Only the toast finished and the staff didnt fill up. We are not informed by the staff any complimentary. The grass long in field area. All ok, we will recommend this resort to everybody. Excellent facilities and sceneries. Overall is excellent.

After a long trip arrived at hotel and quickly signed in. We were upgraded to a fantastic room, however phone and TV not working but a great balcony view of the South. China Sea and to the left the jungle. It was lovely to sit and watch the various birds and fireflies. Malaysia Airlines had lost one of our bags and did not seem concerned however after no success we spoke with James at reception who soon sorted it out and it arrived at 9pm. One day wasted Thanks Malaysia Airlines. The next day we had a leisurely breakfast plentiful and good choices of Malay and Western. Very courteous staff. Saw our first monitor lizard and had a garden tour by. a very informative employee Roy. Decided against the nature walk as advised not much to see this time of year. Spent most the day on the empty beach ( Some jellyfish but otherwise a nice dip) and in empty swimming pool. 3 linked pools lovely and warm but needs some maintenance and jacuzzi not working. Only a couple of restaurants were open and although quality of food was good the menus were similar. On our last day we had a very good Chinese style meal in The Noble House (Only open until early evening). As with most meals we were the only ones in the restaurant. All meals were very reasonably priced. The advertised firefly. tour was cancelled due to low tide but Christina arranged a private trip to see them and also the proboscis monkey. Well worth it. . Points to Note Low occupancy with the majority of guests staying overnight only, meant we had pools and beach to ourselves and the restaurants were virtually empty. Disadvantage was that some restaurants. and snack places did not open. Lovely remote location fantastic view , beach and garden walks however nothing in walking distance of the resort so unless taking a. taxi or day trip would not see or meet other local people restaurants or shops. Note the hotel shop has very limited souvenirs and only a few crisps and drinks. We had a great relaxing time, the hotel needs some updating and maintenance but that did not affect our.enjoyment. Staff were helpful and courteous and room clean and well stocked with water tea and coffee. A/C fine. So if you want a relaxing beach and pool holiday with good food and when we were there tranquility we recommend Nexus. PS book trips at the hotel as the one we booked through our agent was about 3 times more.

Facilities: Basically, everything is available. All the necessary infrastructure is available. Hygiene: OK, much better than the hotel at the pier, which is damp and dirty. Environment: Beautiful environment, in the forest, very suitable for taking pictures, quiet environment. Service: The boss can speak Chinese, communication is barrier-free, and the service is also very good.

Very good, very satisfied, Garden Resort, the room is very big and spacious (especially when we dived by boat), you can have a good rest, it is not far from the town, the resort has a shuttle bus, it takes more than ten minutes to get there, and it only costs 10 Malaysian ringgits by taxi. It is recommended to stay here when you come to Semporna. You can buy seafood in town by yourself or ask the store to help cook. There should be no lunch and dinner in the store, even if there is, it is very simple. The seafood cooked in the store is delicious. The resort is very quiet and comfortable. We go fishing in the sea during the day and eat the results of sea fishing at night. Every day is very leisurely. This place is very suitable for vacation and leisure. Grab is also very convenient to order takeout. KFC came in half an hour on the first day of stay, but be careful when ordering spicy burgers. The feeling of security is very strong. The whole manor has surveillance video. The processing fee is calculated per person. The taste is good, which is more reasonable than the processing fee charged by kilogram in the town. The photos are very good. I met a Malay employee who can speak Chinese that day. He played guitar and sang romantically. You can see squirrels, three or four kinds of birds/butterflies. I like this natural atmosphere. It is not far from the town by taxi.

Staying in Sempoorna town was a delightful experience, and this resort made our visit truly special. Sempoorna town is relatively small and apart from diving, hiking, island hopping there is not much things to do. If you're planning to spend more than 2-3 days in the area, I highly recommend considering this resort. Conveniently located just 10 minutes away from Sempoorna town by boat, the resort offers a tranquil escape. The staff and owner here are not only friendly but also incredibly cooperative, ensuring a warm welcome and a comfortable stay throughout. The rooms are clean and thoughtfully equipped, providing a luxurious experience. The surrounding beautiful sea is a highlight, adorned by starfish and other fishes. While the included food may not be the centerpiece of the experience, it is satisfactory, mainly featuring delicious Chinese cuisine. The staff and owner go the extra mile to share details about the resort, snorkeling gear, and any assistance you may need. During our stay, they arranged an unforgettable island-hopping tour, adding an extra layer of excitement to our visit.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sky Water Villa in Semporna. The villa is beautifully designed and impeccably clean. The king sized bed was comfortable, ensuring restful nights under the stars. One of the highlights of the stay was the all-inclusive buffet dining, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The afternoon tea with snacks was a lovely touch, providing a perfect mid day treat after our island hopping and snorkeling or hiking. Free wifi available at the restaurant and lobby area. The staff were exceptional, friendly and accomodating. A standout feature was the free use of snorkeling equipment and life jackets. Although the area around the villa does not feature coral reefs, the sand bank during low tide is a unique experience. It's a perfect spot for a leisurely walk and to observe the stunning starfish scattered across the shallow water. During snorkeling, we also spotted some sea turtles, some colourful fish and even swordfish. The reef is only near the jetty area which is very deep and has strong current. We had a relaxing and wonderful time living over the ocean with a touch of adventure. Highly recommended!

The room is large, the sanitary environment is also very good, there are many rooms, very suitable for travel and living, There are special seafood restaurants, Chinese food and hot pot food nearby, there are drug stores and convenience stores. It is 2.6 kilometers away from the pier and only 2 kilometers away from Tawau Airport. It is convenient for travel and relatively quiet.

The room is very clean. The boss speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, and Malay. He answers all questions, so communication is smooth. The boss helped us sign up for a one-day snorkeling tour, which is economical and affordable. The boss also provides free pick-up and drop-off at the pier. Next time I go to Semporna, I will choose this homestay again😁

I’m traveling with my baby by myself, and since I’m traveling abroad, I still have a lot of worries before traveling. But booking this hotel solved all the problems and I was very happy on this trip. 1. Contact mango before traveling to ask any questions you don’t know. 2. After arriving at the hotel, the hotel established a group. You can ask the butler for all questions. The butler provides Chinese service and will reply in seconds, which is great. 3. The hotel environment is very good and quiet. It is about 5 kilometers away from the town, but the hotel has a shuttle bus, which is very convenient. If you really can't catch the bus, you can ask the housekeeper to help me take a taxi. It's about 13 horses. The housekeeper helped me take a taxi that day, but the driver said that I brought wet clothes (packed in plastic bags) and wouldn't let me get on the bus, so the housekeeper came to pick me up. We, the service was very good. Although the hotel in the town is close to the pier, the environment is too bad and noisy. 4. The hotel uses Chinese plugs, so there is no need to bring an adapter. 5. The arrangement is very reasonable. In Semporna, there are all one-day tour groups. I booked them with mango. I found that it was a little cheaper than the same boat. I booked 3 lines and got free airport pick-up and drop-off. I ordered 5 lines and I am very satisfied with each one. But you must remember that we went to play on the last day of the Lover's Bay project. It was so exciting that I woke up with backache the next day. 6. I have been hesitant about whether to sign up for the mangrove forest. Some of the information on the Internet is boring. Since we arrived at the hotel at 9 a.m. and had no plans for the afternoon, there was really nothing to do, so we signed up and went to have a look. The children said that they were lucky to have signed up. They had never seen so many stars before. The sky was covered with fireflies. Large swaths of fireflies flew out of the mangroves. It was so shocking. They even saw the Monkey King. The tour guide said that you have to try your luck to see these. 7. The fish caught in the sea is not processed by Internet celebrity shops. It is processed by any shop on the pier. It is also super delicious. 8. All one-day tours are provided in Chinese, so don’t worry, the guys are warm and friendly.

Sea Star Perfect resort. Perfect location. Perfect staff. Wonderful owner, ERIC, who has great PR 👍🏻. Staff is respectful and friendly. I cannot ask for more. Highly recommend Sea Star Resort. We bought a 3D2N Sea Star Resort package. It included a return transfer by van from Tawau Airport to Semporna boat jetty which took almost 1.5h, a 10-minute boat ride to Sea Star Resort, a whole day of island hopping and snorkelling, all meals (breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner 👍🏻), free usage of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear and unlimited supply of drinking water. The room is very clean and spacious- had a king size bed plus a day bed. Bath area was spacious and attractive. Really love this place very much. Look at the video I have attached! Air conditioned, good internet connection and extended balcony. Food is local buffet style. We enjoyed all our meals there. You will get an assortment of dishes. For dinner, you get good large prawns 🍤 and fish👍🏻. Tea is special- besides 2-3 types if local cakes, you get an endless supply of banana fritters which are very addictive 👍🏻 The sea water around the resort and beyond is crystal clear. You can always see the marine creatures in the water. From 4pm, use of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear are supervised. First of all, let me talk about the conclusion. It is still worth recommending. Reasons: 1. The room is very new, a large capsule-style room, new facilities, smart toilet, air conditioning is also very quiet, and the space is basically enough.
