Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong|2.67km from city center
Check in was fuss free. The room is clean and provided with good amenties. The receptionist was helpful with my request and gave me a higher floor rooms. It was my partner birthday and the hotel gave us a cake. It was quite near to places that I want to go too. Overall it was a good stay in Hongkong.

Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong|2.46km from city center
The hotel is indeed within 5 minutes walk to the nearest metro station, but beware that the walk to the actual platform to catch trains is actually a 15-minute walk. This was my second stay, and I still appreciate the value pricing, efficient service, and high standard of maintenance (as it's a fairly old property). The rooftop pool is a treat for both frolicking or lap swimming. This hotel gets all the basics right, such as lighting, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, linens and comfortable pillows/mattress. I would be happy to make this my default hotel in Hong Kong if the pricing continues to offer such good value.

Mong Kok Hong Kong|0.18km from city center
We had an absolutely amazing stay. It felt like being at home with family. It's important to note that I'm recovering from a back surgery. Prior to my short stay at the Cordis, I had spent the past 4 weeks on bed rest. After 4 weeks if over 22 hours a day in bed, I was desperate to get out of the house. I was also very nervous because my spine is still very fragile. The service was completely customized to fit my needs and I was made to feel welcome and comfortable. Every day I looked forward to speaking with the staff, especially Jocelyn, Lucky, and Yosie. Everything at the hotel was perfect. Despite being a very nice, modern, and clean hotel, staying here felt like staying at a family members house...Very cozy, warm and comfortable. Thank you to everyone on the Executive Club Level team for helping us have the best hotel stay of our life: Kevin, Mahen, Jocelyn, Yosie, Tommy, Edwin, Lucky, Vicky, Jay I will refer everyone I can to come stay at Cordis Hotel when in Hong Kong, and I will definitely be back.... hopefully next month!

Mong Kok Hong Kong|0.73km from city center
We booked this as a last minute thing as we needed two nights in HK. We couldn't fault this hotel. The hotel is within the shopping centre which is connected to the train station and close to all the food shops and markets. The room was spacious, modern, and clean. We didn't get chance to use the gym or pool however we went to have a look when we checked out and it looked clean and great range if gym equipment. Shame we didn't check this place out before as we had 7 nights in Sha Tin hotel which we regretted.

Wan Chai and Causeway Bay Hong Kong|4.8km from city center
A little frustrating to start. Called the hotel about the shuttle, stated it was at 3:30 and something about 20 minutes. I told them I was already at the airport and would wait at the pick up location. I should’ve clarified what he wanted me to do in 20 minutes because no shuttle came by 3:30p so took a taxi which was 3 times the cost. At check in most were occupied except one attendee who decided to look up only after her colleague nudged her because he was about to take me when he finished. She checked me in from a seated position. Very little interaction except to ask me how many beds which was one in my reservation, arrived and had 2. Room was huge with a view of the city and amazing window seat. Beds were cozy. Bathroom, no plastic. Great towels! Dated hotel but still very clean. Area was close to MTR Island Line or a bus, and had many restaurants and shops nearby.

Trip.com Moments

Ambiance ☁️ I called Wanchai as a commercial area filled with shops and offices. A lively crowd all day, where you can see hustling workers & shoppers here and there. Highlights ✨ Don’t worry, Wan Chai is safe as other area! I can say the best place to stay in Hong Kong Island for backpackers and best place to shop. If you like antiques, Queen’s Road East is the best place for you. Rating ⭐️ 4.3/5 #trip #hongkong #chinatown
There’s a lot of posts out there that discuss the beauty view of Hong Kong from Victoria Peak. Most people take the tram, which is good, but trust me that the view is twice as good after you have earned it from hiking there yourself. Read on if you want a simple guide to follow so you can get yourself all the way from Hong Kong central to Victoria Peak via a beautiful nature filled trail. We started the day about 9am and we’re eating lunch and drinking a well deserved beer by 1. It’ll be a bit shorted if, unlike me, you’re fit and don’t dilly dally. Ok, a simple place to start is from the Hong Kong Center Metro strip. May I suggest exit D2. From there get yourself onto theater street where you’ll find yourself a public information post complete with a local map (see pictures). From here, follow the maps directions to the escalators and follow them all the way up. You don’t have to take the escalators and can just follow them instead so you can gain calves of steel. The last escalator should bring you up to conduit road (see pictures). At this point you have a choice, go left and take the tram up to the top or turn right and continue your hike. Once you’ve take the obvious choice of turning right, follow the road for about 15 minutes (give or take) until you finally come to a split in the road. You’ll want to go uphill up Hatton Road (see pictures of my pasty friend pointing the right way. No worries if you over shoot this road, if you continue you’ll eventually hit a small fire station. Just to the side of this are some steps that will take you to the trail. And here you are, this is the Morning Trail. It’ll be just under 3km (up some steep hills) to the peak. It’s a beautiful nature filled trail that is very conveniently signposted. 3 sweaty kilometers later you’ll find yourself at the Top of Victoria peak. Weirdly, there’s 2 malls there. I suggest going into the smaller one (should be on your left) where you can purchase a ticket to go to the roof terrace to get a truly spectacular view of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. Finally, to finish your journey I suggest taking the tram down and enjoy the beautiful view and the slightly rollercoaster like ride. You can use your Octopus card for this. Make sure you get one of these for your time in HK, these things are amazing. Why not hit two birds with one stone. From the Tram’s terminus it is only a short walk to Hong Kong Zoo. It’s easily sign posted. WARNING! If you’re like me, rather unfit, then please be prepared to be humiliated by the local older residents who seem to complete this hike daily and zoom right past you with wheeze and sweat yourself up the trail. #Hong Kong #victoriapeak #hongkongtravel #awesomepic #instagramworthydestinations #hiking #morningwalk #Morningtrail
Casually making my way to The Peak when i walked up this cute little step way and happened upon a beautiful little Cathedral! Its really pretty and feels very peaceful with only a few people wandering around. Being so close to other attractions like The Peak Tram, Hong Kong Park and the zoological park, it would be a shame to miss it for the sake of a few minutes detour. #hongkong #cathedral #urbanexplorer #tripblazers
One of my favourite places to catch the sun setting in Hong Kong is at repulse bay, located ten minutes from the centre on the south side. Repulse bay can see the sun going down over the mountains. Grab a coffee at the beachside cafe or go for a stroll along the soft sand. Alternatively, you can go for a swim to cool down as you watch the sky turn purple. Take bus 6 from Central to get here. #visithongkong
Location: Hong Kong Park, Hong Kong island. Getting there: Take the subway to Admiralty station. Get off and walk through Pacific Place mall. This park is in the heart of HK island. Here you can relax and let the busyness pass out by. You can admire the fish, the turtles and other animals in the pond. The views are stunning looking at the Peak and the HK city skyscrapers. #hongkong
Location: Sky 100 observation deck in the ICC building, West Kowloon. The very popular Sky 100 Hong Kong is located on the 100th floor of the tallest building of Hong Kong city, the International Commerce Center. This stunning world-class attraction offers 360 degrees breathtaking panoramic views of the spectacular Hong Kong city and its magical skyline from an elevation of a whopping 393 meters above sea level. #sky100 #hongkong
Visiting Hong Kong for the first time and traveling from Mainland China as a South African, only our passports and reason for entry were required. My family and I stayed at Urbanwood in Ap Lei Chau, which was a few minutes' walk from the metro station. After entering Hong Kong, the first thing I did was to withdraw money (if one ATM doesn't work, try the next one; I was struggling to withdraw money from my international account). However, my Bank of China card worked at the Bank of China ATM. I suggest drawing money from HSBC if you want to withdraw money from your international account. Next, I bought a SIM card at China Mobile, but SIM cards can be purchased at 7-Eleven as well. Also, cash was needed to purchase the Airport Express Train tickets because there was no one at customer service. Apps that helped me a lot were: Alipay HK (money can be uploaded at 7-Eleven if you are struggling to upload money), the HK taxi app, the MTR metro app, Explore Hong Kong MTR (metro maps), and foodpanda. You can connect the AliPay HK app to your MTR metro app, and you can use the metro without having to use an Octopus card or buy tickets. The AliPay HK can also be connected to Foodpanda to buy food online. Areas that we visited were: Ap Lei Chau, Aberdeen, Central, Wan Chai, Mong Kok, etc., and all these areas have so many attractions, restaurants, and things that one can do. My suggestion would be to decide what you want to do in Hong Kong and only select one activity a day, as the places are quite far apart (this is if you travel with children). Also, keep in mind to wear comfortable shoes because Hong Kong is very hilly. The weather was absolutely amazing during our stay (February month), the locals are very friendly, and we were very surprised with everyone that we came across that could understand and speak English. There are also many affordable transportation options because taxis are very expensive, especially with the distance between attractions. There is definitely so much one can see and do in Hong Kong, and one thing that I really enjoyed was how clean the city and their metro station were. My family and I will definitely visit HK again because there is still so much that we would like to see and explore. #hongkong #Urbanwood #explorehongkong #travelwithkids
#celebratewithtrip #mytripvlog #tripblazers In a city that preserves its traditions while looking to the future, 1881 Heritage fittingly combines historical attractions with contemporary pursuits. From the 1880s to 1996, this site served as the headquarters of the Hong Kong Marine Police. Several historical buildings and artefacts have been preserved and restored, and the site now features a shopping mall, heritage hotel and an exhibition hall. Visitors can shop for international luxury brands and enjoy fine dining on grounds where pirates were once incarcerated! Tradition and innovation, past and present, 1881 Heritage is a true Hong Kong experience.

Hong Kong has a monsoon-influenced subtropical climate which means it is warm and humid all year round, but its coastal location means the weather can be changeable, including sudden thunderstorms and possible typhoons (late-May to mid-September). The coldest months are December to February, when the temperature may fall to 10 °C (50 °F). Summer is long, hot, and rainy, with temperatures averaging between 26-32 °C (79-90 °F). On top of that, visitors can expect frequent showers as it is also the rainy season. Weather in Spring is often pleasant but changeable, so it is considered Shoulder Season with fewer crowds. So the most recommended time to visit Hong Kong is from October to early December.Though Hong Kong is an all-year destination, the Peak Season for tourism is October-December, as well as Chinese New Year (late January or early February). There are many religious festivals and events (trade fairs) in the city, so crowds will increase dramatically. If high humidity doesn’t bother you, the cheapest time to visit Hong Kong is in May and June. This is the best time to look for deals on flights and hotels. Conversely, in the peak months of September to December, flights and accommodations are at their most expensive.
