The location of the hotel is a few minutes walk from the old town. The service is also very good from the door to the front desk. It's just that it's inconvenient to drink when the minibar is empty. In addition, there is dust on the bedside counter, and hygiene is not very good.

We checked in to the hotel for a 2 night weekend stay. We had booked a room with an Old City view. Unfortunately, the view was of another hotel opposite, the First Station and the Mount of Olives. If I leaned out if the window and looked left I could see the Old City. The room was very tastefully furnished, with a comfortable bed and spacious bathroom with separate bath and shower. The hotel has a shallow indoor lap pool, next to a well equipped gym. There is an outdoor infinity pool on the roof with amazing panoramic views in 3 directions. It gets windy up there and the pool was very cold. There is an indoor meat bar on the roof, which we went to, but left soon after as it was freezing at night. I would recommend improving the heating in there. Breakfast was a very high standard with an excellent selection and high quality. Hot drinks and eggs are served to the table. Dinner on Friday night was the best I'd ever had. There was an extensive selection with very good meats in the carvery. The food was further enhanced by the excellent service by the dining room staff. We also enjoyed treatments in the spa. The spa receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The lobby bar serves good cocktails and food. The staff in the hotel are very service oriented, from the room cleaners, to the reception staff (apart from one rude receptionist). Fadi at reception ensured that the guests got the best service and should be commended.

If you're looking for a luxurious and memorable stay, the King David Hotel is an excellent choice. We stayed there during Rosh Hashanah with the whole family, and the experience was exceptional. The desserts were particularly impressive—crunchy where they should be, tender and full of flavor, perfectly balanced, and crafted with impeccable taste. Not only were they delicious, but they were also beautifully presented. The food overall was outstanding, and every meal was a delight. The King David Hotel is truly a luxury destination for connoisseurs. Every single detail is meticulously cared for, from the elegant ambiance to the top-tier service. The hotel’s long and fascinating history adds a special charm that enhances the entire experience. While you're there, I highly recommend joining Doctor Haim Cohen's tour, which offers captivating insights into the hotel’s historical significance. For those who appreciate luxury, history, and exceptional cuisine, the King David Hotel is a perfect destination.
